Driver Madness

As you may see in many of the other topics around the forums we are finding everything there is to know about everything in all the driver games.

In this thread our main goal is to work out everything about all the cars in driv3r. There is usually a lot of confusion about the cars real names and so on so we are going to work this out properly here.

To start things off I'm going to give each car a unique number, this number was taken from the i-guide so I thought it would be smart if we used numbers that already existed.

Then we have spots for all the information on the cars and that's for you to decide. I've also included loads of pictures for you to look at and to help you make your decision on what car is what. So lets start off with pictures of all the cars and it our job to fill in all the blanks.

I could get CRAZY ! Yoou know what hapenned to me ?! I copied EVERYTHING from the official Guide (Engine, Power, Top-Speed, names,…) and i wrote a lot of infos for each car, i spent maybe 1 hour and a half for that, and then, what happened ? computer crashed …

Actually i read that 009 is based on the plymouth hemi cuda

I beg to differ, 23 isn't a kenworth

23 is a 1986 Micheals 4500 Truck. (look @ tha headlites)

Yeh ok however, I'm not really a truck-fan …

And 009 could be a 'cuda, that's rigth, but it's a Chevrolet Camaro, since Tanner's car has always been a Camaro since the first Driver.
And reading things on any website could give you wrong information, I have the official Driver 3 guide and I know that the car #009 is based on a Camaro =)

007 is a 1970 Pontiac Bonneville. It was featured in Driver 1.
009 is definately a camaro of some sort.

Also, I don't mean to be rude, but I believe that Tanner's car in Driver 1 was a Skylark.

this is off the prima offical game guide for Driv3r

I know that the one that was used by Tico's gang(the pursuit dudes) in the "Rooftops" mission is a 1973 Pontiac Firebird.

006 is some kind of Shelby. The in-game car name is "69 Bruiser."
008 is some kind of Corvette. I can't find the in-game car name for this.
010 is a 75 Pontiac Firebird. The in-game car name is "80 Redline."
026 is a Ford GT40. I can't find the in-game car name for this.


010 is NOT a Ford Mustang!!!!!

There are no pictures any more. Can someone please fix the links to the pictures of the cars.

they are like that because the image was more then likely done as an attachment and when we did a server move in august this year, all the previous attachments got destroyed, so there is no way to re do them except for going out on the internet and finding them again. sorry

It's actually a '70-'73 Firebird. In 1974, the Firebird/Trans Am got a new, more slanted front end. See: http://www.americandreamcars.com/1974firebird.jpg


One other thing: The Driv3r version of that car has an inaccurate rear window. The Firebird/Trans Am didn't have such a window until '75: http://www.theronnet.com/images/firebird3.jpg
