Keyboard mouse and controller problem

I have a Windows 11 PC that I use to play Driv3r on.

In the past it has worked just fine as of earlier this year I think.

Anyways now when I start the game it doesn't respond to the keyboard mouse and controller which is a logitech rumblepad 2.

If I do ctrl-alt-delete and click the Driv3r icon on the taskbar to get back to the game, it then recognizes the mouse, but not the keyboard or controller.

I even tried restoring a backup of the profile (did that to fix an issue where the display upon loading the profile was off the screen partially) and that didn't help.

What is causing this problem?

Also is there any way possible to make Driv3r open on my middle monitor without setting it as my main monitor?

I have discord open in a Discord call and also Chrome watching a YouTube stream.

Could either of those be causing it?

I believe this is caused by driver signature enforcement being activated by default on Windows. I occasionally have that same problem on W10 and the solution is to reboot the PC into advanced startup options and disable it from there. Likewise my keyboard and DualShock 3 stop working and only the mouse responds after alt-tabbing. It's pretty annoying but I hope this alleviates your issue :abbroved:

As far as custom monitor support, I'm not too sure. There could be some workarounds online but Driv3r doesn't have native support for that kind of stuff.

There's DgVoodoo which I used successfully on Windows 10 to make the game display on the middle monitor, however when I tried it on Windows 11 the game tries to start then closes unless set to display on the main monitor. I reached out to the developer and even he could not figure out why.

Would the driver signature enforcement being active cause the game to do this within the last few months when the game had run on the same Windows 11 machine last year just fine?

Also on Windows 10 I never had that issue.

Problem solved.

Got on my PC this afternoon and saw it was still on as usual, but nothing on the monitors.

So I did a hard shutdown then restarted.

Game works normally now with keyboard, mouse and controller.

For the display issue I thought about it and I remembered that OBS has a preview projector feature. So I turned that on and set the preview to the middle monitor. I added a display capture for the main monitor.

I can now see the game on the middle monitor and there is no lag so I can play the game properly.
