Here are some DRIV3R FACTS copyied from DRIV3R.com

• There are approximately 12,000 notes in the ingame music.
• At Reflections there are more Australians and New Zealanders combined than there are staff from Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
• Over 2,000 music tracks were listened to in the development process.
• Over 90,000 photos were taken in researching the cities.
• Over 1,000 miles were walked in the research process.
• The three cities were built by a team of 25 artists.
• There are 156.14 miles of road in the game.
• There are 35,768 buildings in the game.
• On average there are over 300 polygons per building.
• There are over 70 driveable vehicles in the game.
• The vehicles have upto 20 damageable and detachable panels.
• There are over 3,000 polys for high resolution cars.
• There are over 70,000 bullet hole positions placed on the cars.
• If you listened to all the vehicle source recordings back to back it would take approx 1 day 6 hours.
• Shortest time spent working on the engine sound of a car 1.5 hours; the longest, 6 months.
• Approx 400,000 virtual rounds were fired testing the weapons.
• Over 2,000 actual bullets were fired in the motion capture sessions.
• It takes approximately 2 full weeks to complete one fully finished car.
• The cars have hinging panels; doors, hoods, trunks etc.
• The bumpers of cars can hang off and trail on the ground.
• Wheels of the vehicles can be shot out.
• Windows of the vehicles can be shot out and smashed.
• Over 290,000 polygons in the FMV Tanner.
• Over 1,800 polygons in the ingame Tanner.
• Over 360GB of disk stoarage used for the FMV.
• Over 25,000 textures have been applied to the game.
• At the time of finishing the game Reflections were using 354 GB of RAM.
• At the time of finishing the game Reflections were using 14.5TB of desktop storage space.
• At the time of finishing the game Reflections were using 4TB of storage space.
• At the time of finishing the game Reflections were using 22,656MB of total video RAM.
• At the time of finishing the game Reflections were using 49,866m of network cable.
• Over 3,500 storyboard drawings were made in development.
• Over 3,000 photos were taken of people for use when building the characters.
• Over 2,500 spam mails to people who no longer work for Reflections are blocked by their filters every week.
• Over the course of development, Reflections staff have eaten over 5,200 Chinese meals.

Yeh, i guess it is. It seems hard to imagine but once you've gotten a big studio to do these things in you just about have infaint possibilitys.

I wished I could go to my hardware retailer and buy 24,000MB of Video Ram though.

Holy crap! That's a lot of ram and space they used! :shock: LOL at the Chinese meal. Also sucks that they worked so hard on the game then have the game despised by half of the world.

The BETA version was cooler than the final version of Driv3r.
I don't know why they stopped the BETA version,in my opinion the specs of the game were very high in the BETA version and also they didn't want to pay the rights for real brand cars
