Problem with driv3r :'(

why i start driv3r on pc my game loads up a black screen then crashes back to desktop with driv3r still running in the toolbar.....no error msg
does anybody know why this is happening

What are your computer's specifications, what is the date when your video card/chip was last updated, and what operation system do you have?

windows 7 64bit my gtx 660 ti is on its latest update and my specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3701 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
8gb ram

Strange because the game is optimized for Nvidia cards. Compatibility mode set to XP maybe ? Not even a " Runtime error " message ? Patched game ?

If it's still on the toolbar, then try hovering your mouse over the icon and then over the preview picture (in Windows 7). Sometimes error messages are "behind" the games black screen and that's the only way to see them.

Hm, odd. It may be a possibility that your video card isn't compatable with DRIV3R. I have tried to run Carmageddon 2 on my VAIO PCV tower, but the aftermarket video card I have in it is incompatable with the game and the games wont run.

In my opinion you need the latest .exe that Ubisoft released in 2007, for me happened something similar because i've 2005 version, i ran the application and then it crashed back to desktop after the intro logos. I've an 650ti

The exe from 2007 is the one i sent to MaxThunder on skype, since i have a Ubi version. This will probably solve your problem.

What a wierd issue. Glad it's solved!
Would any of you believe me if I said my 14 year old tower plays DRIV3R and Paralell lines? It has a 1.40ghz single core processor by the way!
