Textures comparison

On the left: Driv3r
On the right: Driver Parallel Lines

Driv3r texture resized to 512x512 without filter.
Notice how they have reduced the texture's quality :?

OMG, great comparison, i don't know the reason why they've done that, if Driv3r had the quality of DPL textures it would be miles better.

Something i don't get it, why the hell they did not keep the original textures for the pc version ?
For the ps2 version, i can understand the textures resizing but for the pc ? :?

You know how it goes. They got lazy as hell with the PC version.

They should have done the game for the pc first, for the ps2 and xbox after, imo.
I was thinking one thing, probably the vehicles's textures must be at a size of 512x512, or even 512x1024, who knows ?

PS2 has a 128x256 texture, without compression (or have better compression than in PC). I tried to export textures via 3D Ripper. Result: texture is corrupted

Yep i know this, i was referring to the original textures and doing a supposition in fact.

PCSX2 itself can't play Driv3r and DPL properly in hardware mode. That's why.
