I was checking out some textures in a .dam file when i saw this texture:
This face is familiar to me. I saw it in my Driv3r strategy guide. So what i did is to recreate the texture like this :
This face is from Gareth Betts, who was the senior producer in Reflections Interactive. So the Bagman is Gareth Betts

Nice discovery !!
But wasn't Gareth Betts part of Atari, and not Reflections? I remember reading the interview with him as well, in the guide you're talking about!

I've seen a lot of funny faces discoveries, a lot of them are just ridiculous photoshops of the same person (which makes it look cheesy).

BTW: It read that Tanner, from the first Driver, is based on Martin Edmondson's face There was some images in an interview showing that. In one of the magazine scans that max.thunder posted!

Oops of Gareth I meant, not Martin
The second pic (Driver 3) is definitely not Gareth however, as it was a real actor playing Tanner, who is Michael Madsen He changed a lot however, you wouldn't recognise him.

For Driver 3 yes
But actually, now that I see the picture max.thunder posted again, I don't really think that Tanner and Gareth look alike Do you?

@CarLuver69: really a pro photoshop work
@Coyote: Maybe he doesn't 100% look like him but i think that he was inspired by Gareth, probably the guys responsible of art design changed the some details of the face. The Driv3r version looks both like Gareth and Michael Madsen mix.
Although my i-guide says that Driv3r Tanner character model was alllgedly based on Martin Edmondson. (which for me doesn't make sense)
This is how he looked back in Driv3r era.

It's definitely not Gareth for Driver 3, because they used motion capture to create the characters and the actor of Tanner was played by Michael Madsen You can watch this in the making of. It's just that Madsen and Edmondson both look similar.
And for the Driver 1 Tanner — In my opinion nothing looks like Gareth, look at the nose, the lips / mouth, and the shape of his head / face. I start to believe it's just something made up by whoever wrote this article about Driver BTW, Gareth looks like an 80s porn start in that pic Ok maybe 90s, but if he had a moustache I'd definitely say 80s!

I know that Michael Madsen done the voice over for Tanner.
The guy who made the motion capture for Tanner was Joseph Gatt
About the Driver 1, for me it looks like Jean-Paul Belmondo (he played as a cop in a film)

One of the common methods used by Commissioner Philippe Jordan (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is to shoot a criminal with the gun of another offender, pretending a reckoning
I have to watch this movie, it has a great car chase.

Hope that Gareth won't see this

Hmm interesting, this guy apparently did the motion capture for Driver 2. I know Michael Madsen also did the voice, but I was sure he also did the facial motion capture for Tanner. And the fun thing is that maybe this guy did it for Tanner (the guy who's done it in Driver 2), but they forgot to change it on that site, hence the reason why the Driver 2 Tanner that was in Driver 3 looked different to the current Driver 3 Tanner? See my point? But to know that we would have to know if this guy did normal motion capture for Tanner or also the facial captures. Very interesting!

In my opinion that guy did all the motion capture, and after that the photographs of the character (Michael Madsen) were applied to the model.

While the cut-scene Tanner is some kind of Gareth Edmondson/Michael Madsen combination, the in-game Tanner is a higher-resolution version of the Driver 2 in-game Tanner.
