Was there ever a way to extend the length of replays?

I always had some really awesome replays, but I've been limited to about 2 1/2 minutes of my actual gameplay to record. This really gets annoying when I'm doing a really awesome chase then the replay just ends. Anyone know of any mod or script changes that would have to be done for this to happen or is this even possible?

I honestly think it's RAM related. PS2 replays are short as sh*t due to the 32MB amount of RAM.

Well, I haven't played the PS2 version of the game in a long time, so I forgot the length of the replays. But I doubt it's my ram as I have 8 gigs of it. Unless there's something in a notepad or code that can only use a certain portion of the ram for the replay. I guess I could try emailing Ubisoft Reflections but I doubt they would be able to help out.

8 gigs, you should be able to make replays that last for hours-must be ingame memory related.

I wouldn't doubt if it's a hardcoded limit in the game, and quite possibly a limitation on the replay file format itself.

That's what I was thinking. I guess I could try emailing Ubisoft Reflections, but I doubt that'll work. Rather, I'm not sure they could provide the fix I'm looking for. I've made many videos in the past with this limitation, so I'll live if nothing happens.

You won't get very far, unfortunately. They have never released any specific patches for these kinds of things.

I have 4GB of RAM and I get max 2 minutes of replay?
With 8GB I can really make replays for hours? You serious?

It's definitely an ingame memory limit.
