Why so much hate for T.K.? I thought both of them were cool, though Tanner definitely has the edge.
I think it would be nice if Tanner's story continued on the consoles/PC while T.K.'s story continues on the handhelds.

Tanner is just an undercover cop, and what story/backround does he have?.(Aside from the Driv3r cliffhanger) All we know is that he left professional stock car racing for police work, and that info comes from the instruction booklet.

O yea? then tell me TKs backround and story

tk reminds me too much of a sort of gta/true crime character, not what driver is all about
tanner however is one of the unique things about the driver series, and not having him in dpl was a big mistake. I really hope ubi bring him back.

yeah, and having the Film Director gone makes it not as unique as before because GTA is only known for a crappy replay feature only on the XBOX and the PC and Driver: Parallel Lines doesn't even have a Replay Feature.

T.K. only never got to (you know what at the end of the story) they just **** it a away.
Sorry if that didn't make sense

I just don't want to spoil it for someone.
So I'll use these new spoiler tag things.
Highlight to reveal what I was trying to say and the answer to the end of the storyline in Driver: Parallel Lines
Remember when T.K. let that guy go with those people at the end of the game, maybe they could not have killed him and tk goes on a big hunt to kill that bastard.
I know it's not much of a cliffhanger but it could be continued like that.

i would not call that a good cliffhanger but it might just work but i doubt it t.k is getting on a bit. (getting old) tanner should be back

the people at the end didnt kill him just like that t.k let him go with them so he would suffer BEFORE he would die

TK's story wasn't all bad and I thought the whole revenge aspect was handled fairly well. Though, I do agree that Tanner's was more interesting but it didn't really make much sense. If Tanner is an undercover cop why does he kill cops/civilians at will? Woudn't that result in him getting kicked of the force or something.

This is why they made TK since they had more control over what he could do. I think I also herd Gareth Edmondson say that this is why they changed the character.

Well sure he does that but. it's not like collateral damage because you feel like it. he is doing whatever is necesary to complete his task.

by Moonchild
I think it is collateral damage because when your just driving around as a criminal in GTA, you feel justified in killing the police and civilians but in Driv3r, Your killing fellow co-workers and breaking the law that you swore to protect. And sometimes Tanner goes overboard, just look at the Baccus incident, the police wanted to talk to him but Tanner wasted him, he should have cuffed him and drove him to the station to avoid the confusion that led to Baccus's death.

by Daltarin-Elite
Yeah he probably should have cuffed him. but obviously back up was close behind or else he probably would of. anyway. shooting him was justified. if your were tanner and you saw baccus do that you would have shot baccus through fear he would have shot you.

Yeah, he was pulling the 'keys' out and Tanner thought it was a gun. Sadly tanner shot him when all those feds 'suits' could have had a chat to him. But if Tanner never shot him I wonder how to outcome would have turned out.
It could change the way the game ends... you never know... if baccus were still alive something may have been changed and that thing that happened at the end of the game wouldn't have happened.

ha..Good times..good times...
But what if they mied it up and baccus shot Tanner? that couldve changed tha story even more.

then the game would have been a lot shorter and no one would want to buy such a sort game with only a couple of missions. But Baccus never had a gun, where would he put it.
It would also be nice if they added the city Vegas and Russia into the game. Russia would be where tanner get what he wanted done in driv3r and Vegas would be where he gets Jericho.

First all and sorry to burst your bubble but Russia isn't a city.
Second if baccus shot tanner yes there would only have been two mission and TKR mode but i'm sure what sedans meant was baccus survived and shot tanner at the end.

And like madness says. there wasn't anywhere baccus could've had a gun.
"Oh! Is there a gun in your pants or are you just happy to see me?"
The setting is perfect. They should put that line in the next game.

rofl, however that'd be unlikely for tanner to say something like that. Tanner just ain't that type of person.
Maybe T.K. for that line

Yeah but it could be in a sarcastic way. i could imagine jericho saying that though. Tanner needs to lighten up and get a bit of a sense of humour

I still found lots of things tanner said funny.
Original things like:
"If I'd come here to kill you, you'd be dead"
and lots of things he says like that
Tanner can always bring a smile to your face somehow.
He also has a nice style. But I guess TK does to in a more bright style.
But I guess it's more dark in the 06 era of the game.
