Driver Madness

I was doing some wishlist thinking once again and thought of few more ideas. This particular idea should be an option when starting undercover mode. You should get the following options.

- Normal (Button)
- Realistic (Button)
- Advanced Replay Mode (Checkbox)
NOTE: Normal and Realistic are difficulty levels however Advanced Replay Mode is a selective option.

This mode (option) should allow players to open up a mode specificity designed for users of the Film Director. With this option players should be able to do the mission in segments. They should be able to play the mission right though and go back to change something they did wrong.

Advanced Replay Mode
So this mode will give the option for people to start of the mission in a pre-specified time of segments. Then they can play the game for that amount of segments, when the player reaches the time they specified before hand the game will pause giving the player the option to edit and replay what he has just completed.

The player should have the option to continue and edit later on.
The player should also be able to use the replay button at ease so they can get right back into the action as quickly as possible, so they'll get the replays done faster.

Once the player has driven the best to his ability or maybe the worst in some cases he can go to continue with the next segment and so on.


To extend this functionality the player should be able to play the game with no pre-defined segment set and they can press a button while driving to load the replay option and/or replay edit (Film Director) option.

From there they should be able to go back a few frames in a frame mode and even start the next segment from there.

I believe this option will get users making some really interesting and exciting thrilling action packed videos.

and are there any improvements you'll like to make to this idea?

Well, I guess that's for the PC version so I wouldn't need it, but for people who have the PC version it would be cool =)

They could have something like this in the console versions.
In the PC version they should have a High Quality export feature where you can export/render highest quality videos without needing fraps and a fast computer.

Maybe next generation consoles can handle holding .avi and .mpg so maybe there could be a console export feature.

Sounds like a great idea! Perhaps the advanced replay feature should only be for missions you have already completed?

Yeah, that sounds like a fair discission.
If a user hasn't play the mission before it's kind of pointless using this mode. So it could be greyed out until the player has completed the mission.

It actually sounds a little annoying to me. I'd be too pedantic about it. I would keep starting again and again because i wouldn't think i'd done it right.

As long as it's strictly optional i'm fine with that.
