Driver Madness

Would anyone else love a first person mode? I think it would be a fantastic addition to the Driver games, and would add a whole new level of realism to the game.
Similar to this GTA IV mod.

More along No, because Driver is known to be a third person game. Not first, just like GTA and SR aren't meant to be first person games, it just feels different.

Yes, it would be interesting, but you cant really have both legitly and have them look good.

I like first person as i find 3rd person is clumsy and unintuitive, but all my mates struggle to see where their car is heading if they can't see it! I have never played a 3rd person shooter I liked but hopefully driver could change this, who knows?

EDIT: after seeing that video, i would defiantly hope they do, the action is so much more real and so much closer, its like mirrors edge but in GTA, Here is hoping for this being executed that well!

It depends. If by "first person" you mean an in-car view, it would be great. But for the on-foot action, it doesn't really that cool.

I think maybe we could make a mod for that in DPL. Hard to explain, I'll post some pics and videos of what I am talking about.

Rock on! I thought it had it but i was wrong! I think i was thinking of Driv3r! Nick & Derek I seriously think you should watch that vid, even the glitchy GTA4 mod looks awsome! If the guns were tweaked a lil' then it would be perfect! Well I would like it to me an option or an easy mod!

They did first person anyway.

I know this topic's been dead but I gotta say, more games should rely on first person on foot/vehicle action. GTA IV looks amazing through the character's eyes.

Wow, indeed! Driv3r would look good with first person mode! It sorta does on foot.

Uhm, it does have first person mode. Both on foot and in vehicle. Not that kind of first person mode however, where you can see the dash/steering wheel and Tanner's arms however.

You really aren't too bright, are ya? PD is right by saying it does have a first person mode on foot, and as he specified, not in a car. He wasn't insulting anyone. Gee, being specific is bad.
