I was surfing the net looking for more information on the driver series and I found this. It contained lots of New Year Resolutions from game development teams and these are the ones posted by Reflections Interactive now commonly known as Ubisoft Reflections.
Craig Anderson, Graphic Designer, Ubisoft's Reflections Studio wrote:"Dress more dandy. Buy fudge. Buy more shoes. Play more Wii. Acquire Zeus Cannon. Pray to Khonshu. Bring Aeris back. Get new overlay tool. Make new Jet Set Radio. Learn to surf. Learn to snowboard. Start sewing? Actually finish a game out of the pile that's building. Stop buying variant covers. Lick the ports."
Peter Young, Tools Manager, Ubisoft's Reflections Studio: wrote:"Last year's resolution was to finally kill off Tanner. This year our concerns turn to living; our resolution is to become more energy efficient."
Andrew Howat, Production Assistant, Ubisoft's Reflections Studio: wrote:"Take more risks. It's said every year, but it falls on deaf ears. There are games, like Katamari Damacy, that do take risks and are rewarded greatly. There are others such as LocoRoco that take risks and aren't rewarded at all; but the key is that the gaming experience is enriching player's imaginations. We're far more likely to come up with the new must-have game by playing Psychonauts rather than FIFA."

Well, Tanner maybe won't come back but he's alive !

yeah, I never really noticed that. I think he lied when he said that because it said Tanner is alive in driver: parallel lines. However he could have meant that in other terms like they aren't bringing tanner back, killing him off in the main part of the series.

At least he will always remain in the mobile series by glu and now gamesloft!

Would ne a shame if he's not in Driver 4 …

I think he meant that they decided killing Tanner off in Driver Parallel Lines. Not that he's dead or anything just that he won't appear in that game.

I actually read this a few weeks ago and I don't know but the 3 answers are a little weird. The only person who's actually talking about anything useful is Andrew Howat. Too bad they didn't mention anything about the next-gen Driver...

Yeah, I always wished they just took the risk of enabling multiplayer for Driver: 3 and Driver: Parallel Lines.

I've never herd of any of the games Andrew was talking about though!
But it'll be good to see Reflections taking a few risks, I believe it'll be for the greater good.

It for sure would have been interesting to have multiplayer in Driv3r and Driver Parallel Lines. Though, the games would have probally been more crappier in many respects so in Reflections I trust.

I've heard of those 3 games and yeah, Katamari (for me) is a waste, LocoRoco is fun for 5 minutes. Psychonauts though is a standard platformer but its pretty fun thanks to all the games crazy ideas.

I agree that it would be nice if Reflections could take some more risks but when you have a series like Driver, what risks can you really take? The only thing that comes to mind right now is online play buy Saint Row 2 and GTA IV will already have had that by the time the next Driver game releases. Another risk could be making the game ultra violent or completely toning it down...

KILL OFF TANNER?! I hope they are not for real. :x I have always liked the game focusing on Tanner the Wheelman.
