It seems that DriverWelten no longer exists :o.
http://driver.onlinewelten.com/

Perhaps the site is down at the moment, I go to their news page and it says "No input file specified."
http://driver.onlinewelten.com/news.php

How weird,
Did this just happen or has it been like this for a while now.

If DriverWelten goes there will only be two fansites covering the entire series :o .

Although I'd use DriverDimension over DriverWelten any day only because DriverWelten is full of annoying pop-up ads and they usually contain heavy media such as flash animations, videos, ect which kills the 400MB data transfer I get allocated every month.

Other than that, hopefully it comes back pretty soon 8)

That's bad. There's so many few Driver fansites. It really have to come back as fast as possible, because an announcement of the next Driver can happen really fast.

I never learnt how DriverWelten operates.
I know the owner is JAY, who is also a member of this forum.

Lets go for a history lesson.
Back in the day DriverWelten was formally known as Planet-Driver.
Planet and "'Worlds' translated from 'Welten'".

Planet and Welten, I believe a company, organization or a person who runs an online community like myself wanted to establish a server and a website which links many online communities together.

For example I wanted to run a hosting company, where I would charge to host accounts where clients can put their websites. In this situation this person wants to purchase a server and host gaming websites only, fully supported by ads.

So someone who wants to create a driver site would go to the Planet or Welten website and signup to make their site Planet-Driver or Driver-Welten depending on their choice of provider.

Hosting is fully supported by ads, and that'll explain all those annoying ads we see when we visit the site. :(

Sorry, if you cannot understand my post. I've had another busy day which involved me walking 25km :o . Now I'm tired

Hahaha man Planet-Driver is down since 3-4 months already .

Planet means actually Planet in German ( The Driver Planet ) and Welten means Worlds, and the name of the host is Online-Welten ( Online-Worlds ).

The site is down because it was too much work for not enough fans. Or at least this is what was written on the main page some months ago when I checked it last time ( sorry to lazy to visit the site right now... ).

And yes I agree with you madness, all those pop-ups and pop-unders are really annoying, this is why I never really went there very often. I'd never do something like that to my site, if I was him I wouldn't have "sold" my community and my members for the money you get for ads. That's weird.
