A nice cover i must say. As you know guys, Driver 2 was originally planned on the Ps2.

Wait... WHAT?!!??!?! Holy F#$5 no wonder it had so many issues
-Forced to be rushed
-Some of the code was (and the game was originally) designed for the PS2.
This game really lacked love lol.
Where the hell did you hear about it originally being designed for the PlayStation 2? Wow, the game would have been so much different if another year of time was given...
Also, do you have any info about it's development story? So like about what point in development and time they decided and why they decided to make the game for the Playstation 1?

There is an article at the bottom of a page from a magazine scanned by Maxthunder. In view of the evident success of Driver, Atari ( formerly known as Infogrames ), for some business, marketing, money reasons, asked Reflections to realize the sequel of the game. The problem is that Reflections only had a period of 1 year to do it, if i'm not mistaken. And since they had already programmed on the playstation and they already had the tools and the Driver's game engine, they decided to make Driver 2 on the PS1.
It's a little bit the same story that for Driv3r. Two games rushed out.

This.... Is why deals shouldn't be made. lol. Wow. So did they even start developing the game before the decision to make it for the PS1?
