What car is the one in the driver 2 artwork/magazine image illustrations?

There was another one similar but in red, nearly trashed up. I do remember this magazine back before this game was released.

Woah do I see never seen before deleted (probably?) scene with that cop car? And Im sure the blue car was used on covers.

Hmm...not quite. It is distinct with those grills. I suppose it was just that, artwork for appearance. What a shame!

Mmh, gave the cars in LV another look, this one looked more like it (only diffirence is the front grill if you aks me).

No, the headlights aren't on the corner, the one in vegas has corner space. The grill is what makes it interesting.

It's called a split grill, and it's an Oldsmobile Delta 88. :/
It's the car that you chase in the 2nd mission of Chicago, there's a beta screen of it with those exact textures somewhere, but I can't find it.

Most likely due to graphical limitations. So it could be the same vehicle.

Yup, looks like a Delta 88 to me as well.

You cannot believe how much time I spent looking for an image of the beta version of the Delta 88 - thank goodness I posted it in one of my other Driver 2 beta threads, because if I hadn't, it would've been lost forever...

sigh, how come all the cool cars were taken out of the final version? its a shame

We need to simply ask Reflections to make beta stuff publicly. C'mon its old game (more than 10 years now), I even doubt someone will even buy it these days, except second hand.

Yeah sorry but it's not that simple, they won't release beta stuff because for one thing, they're busy, and also because they probably don't have that stuff anymore. We already tried before with Driver 1, what makes you think they'll do it for Driver 2?

They can atleast do something. To port it to PC and Android/iOS.

What has been said regarding Ubisoft's ownership of Reflections is correct they won't just make a demo or whatever and send out one to who ever may want one. I thought about that with the Driv3r Citreon in Nice, that old banger one.

According to what has been confirmed, that the vehicle on the magazine was actually made for the game, and it was removed from the release.....

Hmm, was the Driver 2 was a two seater one.

We already said it's an Olds, and that car in the beta pic is obviously the Olds, and what do you mean a 2 seater? The coupe version of the Delta 88 had rear seats.

He meant the Driver 2 one was a coupe, not a sedan as shown in the pics he posted.

If they did this, I would buy it no matter the cost. Driver 2 was my favorite in the series despite the frame rate and draw distance.
