Wow, man! How cool is that, then? Almost makes me feel like buying a Wii. I hope someone uploads videos of the entire game to YouTube.com so I can watch it.

Thank you for posting this, max.thunder.

Tanner, the man of a thousand faces. LOL

Looks as really impressive game engine. And the comic cutscenes are cool!
But now for that I`m waiting for, is 3D java version of Driver for GSM (as Fast and the Furious).

It's set in the 70's, yet the cop cars are LTD Crown Vics. :/
Aside from that, it looks cool. Also, the traffic vehicles are from DPL.

Well, '79 was the first year for the downsized Panther-platform cars, so it's not entirely inaccurate. However, the grille & headlight setup on those cop cars wasn't introduced until '83. Also, the cop cars appear to have Federal Signal Streethawk lightbars, also unavailable for that time.

The 'A' and the 'U' are too far away from each other on the keyboard. I wonder who wrote that...

Well, it IS pronounced "Toe-BUY-us", so he might've just spelled it wrong.

What's with the LTD's?

Danged if I know. It would be more plausible if they had the '79-82 front end with the single headlight per side.

It looks cool. I think it fits the first Driver more than the newer ones. Still wondering why they're using the Hemi instead of a REAL cop car in the console game. ;)

Even if the normal console version is modern, they could use a real cop car.

It's only the wii, so technically it's good ps2 quality models, but for the wii, it looks pretty great.

It's coming for PC, X360, PS3, Mac OS X and OnLive. The Wii version is a different game.

I also heard a rumour that there's an iPhone version in the works.

Which reminds me of the time when the PS2 version of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 was different from every other version.

On another note, I still can't comprehend the fact that they named the new NFS Game "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit" when there's already a "Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit". COME ON!!

It's called marketing.

The "make one version of a game different from the others" part or the "give a sequel the same name as an earlier entry in the series" part?

Re: Driver San Francisco Wii Version

Mostly to the name sequel. Obviously they did that because "Hey. All those people want some back to roots Need for Speed. So let's just name the new one with the best entry in the series, even if it's not back to the roots at all." But it can also apply to different versions. Like the iPhone version, so after beating will appear the message: "To play the real game, go get it for the PS3, X360 or PC, blah blah blah".

Well, couldn't they have named it "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2010" or "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Challenge" or something along those lines? That way, they'd take the series back to the roots and avoid confusing NFS fans. Same thing with the new Medal of Honor game.
