The internet connection will probably be like Burnout Paradise's, which runs at normal game speed an no lags.

This has been interesting for me. Until I read this topic, I did not realize a person could play current games with a slow Internet connection or even with a PC that falls short of meeting the game's system specifications, as in the case of DRIVER: SAN FRANCISCO and OnLive (if I am understanding what little I have read about it so far). That is pretty cool.

So far this topic has dealt with the matter of an Internet connection being required to play DRIVER: SAN FRANCISCO. The thread has included information and discussion about the Online Services Platform, a proprietary variation of digital rights management. Again, official information can be found here: Ubisoft Online Services Platform Q&A

Also addressed in this topic so far have been issues associated with this requirement and options available.

Posts discussing which platform players expect to play DRIVER: SAN FRANCISCO on, and their preferences in that regard have been relocated to help prevent this topic from covering too wide of a range in subject matter. Here are some hyperlinks to topics you may be interested in participating in, two of which are survey topics in which members may vote, discuss their votes, and view the poll results.

Which Platform Will You Be Getting DSF For?
That topic pertains specifically to DRIVER: SAN FRANCISCO

On Which Platform Did You Prefer Playing Driver?
That topic is in the DRIVER (GENERAL) section, and pertains to all DRIVER games.

Even more quickly than it occurred here, that topic once strayed away from the matter of which platforms people liked to play DRIVER on, and why, becoming a sort of typical "fanboy" war. Hopefully, that will not happen again, and members wishing to take part in that more general debate about video gaming will do so in this topic: Console vs. PC, where related posts from the topic you are now reading have been moved to.

Hope my 360 does not require this connection. I just got a friend into Driver and they have a 360 like me but no internet (Live). I hope they can play this.
