Discussion for Driver: San Francisco (2011)

Question: Regarding the upcoming Driver game, how much of a challenge was it writing for a game as big as this?

Answer
Driver: San Francisco was a huge job for many writers. We all had masses of story and text to get right. And the deadline was tight too. It was great as it was largely drama but there were still elements of humour in there. I think it looks bloody amazing.

Question: What did you, if anything look at for inspiration in writing for Driver?

Answer
I love the sci-fi, body jump idea. If you watch the final Star Trek : Next Generation episodes All Good Things, Picard is thrown about in time to pivotal moments in his life. At first he’s disorientated, but soon he takes control of each jump and just gets on with it. I love that, Patrick Stewart really was exceptional (but isn’t he always?!), so I had that in the back of my mind.

Question: Can you give us any indication as to how big of a game story wise the new Driver will be?

same thing, lol jk...

I haven't seen star trek generally but I saw this episode from about half way through and it looked amazing how Patrick Stuart changed who he was to fit the circamstances, a bit baffeling but it completely revolutionised the story's progression. I just hope Dean Wilkinson can pull it off.
