Do you mean if it looks like the city in Parallel Lines?
If you did it looks different, some landmarks look the same although there are some texture differences and the landmarks arn't in there correct places.

DRIVER: Parallel Lines is more of a copy of new york than DRIVER 1 as DRIVER 1 used a made up city with New Yorks landmarks placed everywhere.

And I have a question for you superjake
I'm just wondering if you have Driver on PC because if you do there is a special mod that is easily created that i could give you to give you access to new york.

The PC version is quite cheap now and i believe you can get a better quality out of the PC Version.

Driver should be cheap on Ebay, too. That's where I got my copy that works on Windows XP. My old version only worked on Win 98 / ME. I got it for 1 Euro plus 1,50 Euro shipping here in Germany. I've got that file that unlocks everything, too. Works perfectly. :D

Thats funny because this game is really old and i've been running it on XP Pro without a single problem.

To bad the Driver 2 never had a PC version.

In some peoples computers there are some background applications which affect the performance of DRIVER and sometimes give errors.

I'd also love to see a PC Version of Driver 2. :)

Hi, I'm new to this game and I cannot play New York or LA. Also I finished the first three jobs, then when I go back to play the game it starts me all over on the first job again. Why can't I continue where I left off? Help. newbie here.

If you wish to have access to all the cities straight away, you can cheat to get them. Now first I'll need to know which version you own so I can post the right cheats.

Also your ment to save your current process. If you go around there should be a save icon, I think it was a TV... can't remember since I haven't played Undercover mode for sometime.

Also once you reach LA you should then have access to it, same with NY.

Thanx so much, but I searched and searched and finally found the cheat to open up NY and LA. I may be making some modification and that's why I cannot continue a mission where I left off. I'll keep trying and hopefully I will be able to save it real soon. I'm tired playing it over and over each time. Thanx

I found also a little detail that GT interactive missed while they were making NY.

Since 9/11 attack i've always tried to get lot of info about manhattan's buildings, mostly where there were the Twin Towers of the WTC.

I noticed there are lots of famous buildings in NY such as the Empire States Building, The twin tower, etc. Among those buildings i noticed they put there also a very detailed version of the World Financial Center, 4 tall glassed buildings right in front of the Twin Towers, where you spawn when you choose NY as city. Those buildings were erected in 80s and the game, as we all said, is set in 70s, and they chose perfect cars and perfect cities, but they forgot many buildings :P

It's funny because those buildings are really detailed in the game, the best detailed buildings IMO

"lanagarmar" if you have the PC Version and you can't get past that mission you can always mod the game to automaticly finish it, however that's cheating, lol.

Best to try and finish it, and yeh I know it can be a pain.

I always thought New York in the original Driver was a bit flat. San Francisco was definitely the best. I love the music in San Francisco's Take A Ride mode!

My parents are trying to put windows ME on my slow computer. I then might buy the PC version of DRIVER. Looks pretty cool. Do you have any good mods? No offense, but I'm not satisfied with the ones available here. :(

There aren't very many mods for this game.
In-fact I think we have most of the mods available here.
I might double check soon and find anymore I may not have added yet!

Note we are only able to modify mission scripts and a few other little tiny things such as sounds.
