Driver Madness

I was thinking about making a website with driver maps. Similar to Google Earth but with Driver. People could add links and videos to certain locations.
i don't know if this would be useful, i'm working on a similar project for GTA Vice City and San Andreas, but there is a lot more stuff to do in those games.

But there's a way to create maps for Driver ?

Driver is a hard game to modify since no one can extract/open a majority of the files. It would be good however, if someone could open the .lev files.

The idea is good.

yeah, I was achually planning to do something like that with the DPL list using the Google Maps API. But that was with the real city, matching up in-game locations with the real thing.

If you were to use an in game map, that would be awesome too.
People could link content from a particular area.
Not exactly the same but I was planning on a similar thing with the DriverWiki. It would be interesting to see how you would approach this project.

Maybe we should just take the standard maps of the cities and customize them, no ?

ok, i'll get on with work.
i'll make one with Miami first just to see how it's going to work out.

No, he isn't modifying the games maps.
He is creating a website where people can put pointers onto a certain location and put a picture when a user scrolls over it or something similar such as a video or a link.

It could be javascript, php, flash (actionscript), .NET and a few other languages out there! But javascript is proably the most suitable

also, you can shift + click to add a location, but your submissions will not be accepted because i haven't made a php script for that yet.
