Driver 1 Unity3D Port

Hi!
I know there is 1 post already on that, but I want to gather more attention!

I prepared a small demo for you guys.

Current features :
-Day/Night cycle
-Breakable Dynamic Objects
-HUD : damage, felony(not working yet), speedometer, mirror and minimap(not in demo)
-Other features(check out yourself)

Controls :

Steering - Arrows
Handbrake - Space
Burnout - Left Shift
Looking around - WASD
Change view - E

Bugs :

-Vehicle handling as for me is not perfect yet!
-Burnout doesnt work so good(car engine)
-Broken Dynamic Objects sometimes fly in air(no gravity - im fixing it)

I'll try it later. Sounds pretty good. Also, are you planning on porting driver 2? Everyone who tried to port that game always abandoned it :?

No, a port is a direct game port. If anything, this is an HD remake.

No, a port is a direct game port. If anything, this is an HD remake.

Hi guys again.. I made some progress, mainly in car physics.
But we have a lot of problems.
If you want to see this game actually get finished, I NEED A CREW!

-We need a Car Modeler
-We need somebody to make EXACT Driver 1 car physics
-Somebody to recreate the maps

Here's what I found for somebody to make cars, list of all ingame cars with names :

1. What do you mean by car modder?
2. Well you see, Unity is a completely different engine than whatever driver 1 was made with :|
3. If you look around this forum, you will find tools that actually extract the entire cities (Y)

What's the point in making an entire re-modeled and scripted version of Driver 1 if the driving physics are as clunky as the original game? The car physics for Driver 1 are fun and all, but realistically are a bit clunky feeling.

You said "car modder", but there is a difference between modding and modeling. Not really a grammar nazi thing, he just corrected a small mistake you made.

I know that though. I have Blender and GIMP :mrgreen:
I think I realized that my phone auto-corrected me when I typed that. sh*t now I feel stupid :oops:

The point is not to extract the map, but recreate it in high quality.
Also, is anybody interested in making models? I'm a sh*tty modeler :D

What I meant is that you should extract the map so it can be re-modeled. No source = nothing

I cannot find any working links for extracting whole maps In Driver 1 part of the forum tho.
