Running in 1080p (or any custom resolutions?)

I tried editing the config tool with a hex editor and changing one to 1920x1080, that didn't work. That's all I had up my sleeve. I don't know what else to try since Driver never offered custom resolutions. Does anyone know how to change the resolution in Driver? Perhaps a third party utility or something? We have a multiplayer mod now, but still no 1080p
I would look on the PCGW, but it has no driver page:
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Driver (we should try and start one and make sure whoever figures out the resolutions problem gets credit there)

Your best bet would be to talk to Carluver, he'd know how.
You're better off running it in 1920x1440 as well, 16:9 would make it look horrible since it was intended for 4:3 resolutions.

I'd go with what PostalDude said. Maybe that's recommended.
What are your PC specs?

Iirc there was a way I did it before, I can attempt to look it up. Also, 16:9 is fine on a lot of old games from my experience but it's generally personal preference whether it's horrible ro not.

There may be a way to do it, but as far as a code standpoint it's quite difficult to do it "the right way". This is because Driver was made with Glide compatibility in mind (way back when 3dfx cards were still a thing), so it is not made for resolutions other than the 4:3 ones available at the time. Another issue is that the frustum that driver uses is optimized for 4:3, I'm not sure if changing to widescreen would get close enough to the edges to see the models popping in and out, but it's possible. Overall it's just a general pain. It may be possible but it's not an easy fix.
