in San Francisco at night, and I introduced the "Visit to the Mall" code. This happened:

Looks a bit strange, but it looks somewhat like rainy day in San Fran.

For some reason I can't even see it, there's no link to open the attachment for me…

Just the Sky.

It can be made starting a take a ride in night (L.A. doesn't counts!!) XD

Then, in the game, activate the mission select code. It must be any mission at day and dry, to look better. Here's "Visit to the mall". Restart the game.

The game will run the code, and start the mission. The difference will be a dark sky with a day road. Also, will change the music to the city. In the normal mission, the son is Miami at day/escape. Here's San Francisco at night/escape.

Any other funny code?

It also records audio not from the game i.e. any music player.

And here's why we never got a overhead camera in the PS1 version:



No gameshark required for this btw, press select once and then hold select, the camera is stuck to the cars bumper. The camera doesn't change height so when going up or downhill you gett these effects. Also works for driver 2, in which it will always result in a Hall Of Mirrors effect.
