Driver Madness

I want to create a list of all cars in Driver 1. I will try to add photos at a later point. Please help me with the correct car types. Thanks.

If you open a mission in:
GT Interactive --> Driver --> Scripts --> Missions

you can change your car. Replace the "0" (zero) in "PlayerCarType 0" to one of the following numbers:

0 = Buick Sky Lark
1 = Dodge Pick-Up
2 = Buick Regal
3 = Ford Fairlane
4 = Dodge Charger (fast)
5 = Chevrolet Monte Carlo
6 = Chevrolet Nova
7 = Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
8 = Buick Riviera
9 = Chevrolet Chevelle
10 = Dodge Diplomat Police (Horn activates lights and siren)
11 = Pontiac Grand Prix
12 = Chevrolet Camaro
13 = Ford Crown Victoria Taxi
14 = Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
15 = error - do not use
16 = Mercury Cougar / or Jaguar (very fast)
17 = 1955 Ford Thunderbird (very fast)

A list of all traffic cars will follow.

Are these in the PS1 version? I think theres like 4-8 cars in the PS1 version

Dodge Diplomat? even though tha game takes place in that 70's looks to me like an 88 Chevy Caprice Cop Car

It's more like a Dodge Diplomat.
Look at that car compare the 2 vehicles.

ill find some pics, i have a model of an 88 caprice cop car, it looks just like tha one in tha game

if "88" is the year model of that car than it wouldnt work, Driver is not set in late 80's

The cars you remodeled are very close to the ones in the original Driver game. You did a pretty awesome job, I haven't been able to try the mod yet, however after seeing your reply with the highly modeled pictures I've noticed how well you've done and I can't wait the spin some wheels in Midtown Madness 2 tonight

I'm also wondering if I'm allowed to add this file to the download database here, since it's driver related and I'm also wondering if you still have the files for "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit".

Richard's is the closest! yes its true we are working on the traffic car mod, i posted it!

there was never a need for speed : hot pursuit mod, i never did nfs3, i did nfs4, mm2 and gta. and yes, youcan host the file.but if youholdoff a bit longer, the traffic will be a part of it. these were the #1 and almost manditory cars for mm2 online games and cruising

What are mods? Sorry I don't use the computer much and I don't know what a mod is? Did you make those Driver pictures yourself?

It's basically editing a game in these terms.
and basically here they have used a fairly advanced 3d modeling program being zmodeler to create cars for the game Midtown Madness 2.

those are the actual 3d cars. not ingame shots. i reallyonlyposted this because it drives me nuts that no one ever gets the cop car right. there is very little to no resemblance to a caprice. there is slight diplomat resemblance because it was a M-body like the st regis. but the police car is a 1979 dodge st regis. the ny cruiser (with yellowed lights) is a 1980, with the plastic covers

Currently I'm focusing on modding DRIV3R and Driver: Parallel Lines when it comes out so I probley won't get much time however if I do find some spare time I might look into re-creating the cities.

I like the bonus dead cop car.
