Hey guys
I was scrolling through the textures with that texture editing program and i came across what looks like beta artwork. I've never seen it before and it has the date "1998" on it, 1 year before the game was released.

I recognize the purple vehicle artwork (from the teaser .exe video) but have never seen anything else in the image.
It's a pretty interesting find.
It's kinda funny developers don't remove all these unneeded stuff from their game achieves. I guess it's a very time consuming job. Similar to 'Take Two' leaving the code for 'Hot Coffee Mode' in one of the GTA games.

This picture is very famous, it's already on Driver-Dimension and used to be on Planet-Driver too

That "purple vehicle" is a shelby GT500.

I can't believe nobody has pointed out yet that the purple Shelby is the one featured in the intro video
Purple car: 60's Shelby GT500
Red car: 70's Ford Mustang Boss 305
I wonder if this artwork was a concept of a chase scene that Driver was supposed to feature, and that the red car was your enemy while you drove the purple car. Who knows, we see the shelby once in the entire game and never again after that.

The one in the intro is a blue 68' Mustang Fastback.

That picture is also part of the .lev files. You can see it from the DTE.
