Extracted files off Stuntman PS2[PAL]

Well, mates. With the help of RoyalMonaco (thanks for uploading the tool!), I managed to extract the PAL version files off the STUNTMAN.img

I was wishing on replacing some D3 files with the extracted Stuntman files. Sadly though, this doesn't seem too possible since the filetypes differ quite a bit. It resembles D3 in a lot of ways.

Anyways, in hurry since it's evening. What I'm saying is, I'd be willing to give away the files to someone, perhaps an experienced modder to investigate further. I'd love to see a way in the future to perhaps extract the audio files, FMV's, car models, textures and what not!

I won't be posting the link here, in case it's illegal, I'll be also using dropbox, since it's too big for file hosting sites, and I can't afford to buy one for more space right now.

It's the same engine, so I bet everything is the same, it's just they're using different extensions and file storing methods.

Wrong. At one point during development, they were in fact using the same engine. But Driv3r got its own engine eventually, it's either been completely rewritten or it's a beefed up version of the old Stuntman engine. The way it stands now, they're probably not similar at all to each other.

It's the same engine-all they did was add onfoot support.

PALByZandal-I upped it here.

As you can tell by the name-it only works with PAL version.

Orginal folder=path to img on disk
Working folder=where to dump
Just incase you didn't know and needed help. ;)

Well i have a lot of errors during the extraction of my pal version. The disk is in good condition. Message error is " 63- Bad record number"

Good news is-Olanov is upping the stuff to dropbox. He started 20 some odd minutes ago...but it's about 2GB, so it'll take a while.

I saw that i do not have the same path to the IMG file, so that explains the error.

According to my official strategy guide, Driv3r use the same physic engine, but an optimized version. At the time when Reflections was working on Stuntman, Driv3r was already in project .

About the latter-indeed. In the game there's a teaser, and they already made a considerable amount of progress. They modeled a good amount of each city, and modeled a few cars already.

That, ironically enough, is where I found the unpacker.
Those guys only care about the music....I care about somehow, if possible, putting maps/cars/music in D3.

Ok lol. You're right, there is not just the music, but on a Ps2 game, it's more difficult due to those exotic files formats.

The PC version of Driv3r is more easy to mod, except for the sounds, 3d models and animations.

Graphics as in....textures? Automobile/scenery textures, or just frontend?

Well guys i remember that i bought a PS2 audio video tool a few years ago. I tried it on the audio files, here is a little video :)
So i guess that could work on Driv3r too.

ROFL @ the sped-up FUBAR version of Velocity Shift...the slowed down one sounds pretty badass, actually. :mrgreen:

Well sorry for that lol, but i do not want to put the video public because it is not related to my youtube channel , so the video is "unclassified" . So let me know if the link works.
For the tool, yes i can put it but this is only the trial version, so export is not enabled.
In my case, the serial that i had at that time does not match with my current hardware.

The tool is Cube Media Player 2.
