I like Nvidia either, but from some time ago, ATI has beeing beter than Nvidia. The Radeon HD4870 X2 is a good example.

AMD doesn't make video cards. They make CPUs.

Between ATI and Nvidia, I prefer Nvidia because

-Stereoscopic/Anaglypic Graphics Mode
-New Hybird PowerSaving technology (with capable Nvidia motherboard)
-Better SLi technologies
-Easy to remember model numbers; 7600GT, 9600GTX, much easier than ATI's HD4280, X1650Pro (I guess there very similar, Nvidias just looks cleaner)

When it comes down to performance/price, there both pretty similar, Nvidia cards just come with a couple more features.

But overall Nvidia seems to be much more popular.
Some local stores here are refusing to sell ATI because they think there not very good.

ATI was merged with AMD. In some sites and magazines, they call it AMD/ATI.

The new Radeon HD4870 X2 (review) has a better perfomance than the new GeForce GTX 200 series in some of the cases.

IMO, the SLi/CrossFireX thing is useless. Why pay more if you don't get even 50% more performance in most of the cases.

Not anymore. ATI video cards are great (the 4**** series are way much better than anything else) And those new GeForce cards are way too overpriced. Oh, and the 4**** has support for DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.1.

I think that it's depends of the person. I don't find it so complicated. But I dislike the new GeForce name. GTX isn't really that great of a name.

who really knows the reason behind there model names, it could be just someone liked the name or it could be something more
