Here in australia
football (UK) is soccer (AU)
football (AU) is football (AU - Because I thought football was only ever played in AU)
So you've totally confused me.
Is soccer (the one your talking about) the one were your hands cannot touch the football. In that case I agree with you
I much perfer to play Soccer.
Basketball looks cool, I haven't played it in like ages.

Nick, you mean like American Football? It's kinda like rugby methinks...But I get it far far less:p
Soccer is the greatest game on the face of the earth
And Madness mentioned Aussie Rules...Which is a close third to soccer!
Destruction Derby? Demolition Derby? Are they the same thing? I think we have similar stuff...You just need to know where to go...(cough*outback*cough)
Basketball is awesome too...My second favourite sport that I'm allowed to play
Naturally, I can't include cycling, skating or ice-skating...Because I'm not allowed to do them
Do you play soccer, Nick?

i also said AFL..
but no NFL is more like NRL and rugby combined, with a touch of AFL
and what do you mean allowed to play?

by Harlequin
Well, if I've broken a bone doing it, I'm not allowed to do it again...On this list is also playing on a flying fox and walking a tightrope...
I can't do cycling because "it's too expensive". I can't do iceskating because of the proximity between myself and the skating rink.
So I think there are a few pretty decent reasons for me not to do something...
And yes, I noticed...But you mentioned it as an addition to football and football, when Madness had already mentioned football...
And what did I say about not getting all that stuff...I have no freaking idea what NRL or NFL is...to me its rugby and American football... I don't get acronyms...

sorry for all thos people....
NFL is National football league <......... American football
NRL National Rugby League<............ type of Australian sport
Rugby<.......... Rugby
AFL Australian Football League<..... explains itself
i might also say NRL is not rugby, its a completely different game, although there are some similarity's

Not at all. I'm not that good in it
Basketball? Yeah, it's freaking cool! But Brazil suck at basketball (look at the Olympics results...)

For some reason I'm getting the strange urge to pound my head against the table repetitively...Now to find a table.
I know what rugby is. I know what AFL is. I didn't get what NFL and NRL were...Now I do...I get them confused
Lol! I love basketball too Nick! I played for a few years...But then it became too much of a hassle...I played soccer too though, so meh...I was way better at soccer though...I like to blame my mother for my lack of playing...She ruined yet another sport for me...Gosh!
You do all realise that Olympic athletes are abstinate from pretty much anything that can destroy your body, right?
Plus do they sell Cuban's in Brazil?

does everyone just ignore me and harlequins hissy fits?
Posted: Fri Sep 12, 2008 12:26 pm
by Harlequin
I do...Mainly because I'm not the one chucking the hissy fit...Its you.
I hate tennis...I have next to no hand-eye coordination...Makes me wonder how I managed to survive years of netball and basketball!!! I can't swim either...which is strange because I did swimming lessons every year until I was thirteen...
I know that the US made them illegal...And I don't think you can get them in Aus...But maybe thats just because we have no money

I can't swim either. This is not cool
