I just found that my laptop will no longer charge, this is my only access to the internet as it contains a modem. So I'll say bye till whenever I can fix it. Hopefully it wont be too long.
Damn! Stupid laptop...

Can you not just plug it into the wall when you use it?
That's the only way my laptop will turn on, cause my battery is seven years old, and it's fried as hell!

Oh! I forgot to plug it in the wall.
Well... No I didn't

The plug just keeps on melting and I need to buy a new one, and I'm sick of it melting so I'm getting someone to make the entire power part external.
The laptops getting old, but I prefer to keep it since it's gets my internet.
I'm somewhere else at the moment, using faster internet so I'm here just to upload and download a few things.

yeah. Happy Birthday me...
Umm... well no one I know has enough money for a laptop.
The current laptop I have was ready for the bin, but I bought it for 100$ and fixed it up and it's just had a faulty power supply for a long time and I kept on fixing it up whenever it melted or stopped making contact.
It's a good laptop, it has 512mb ram and 1.6Ghz Pentium CPU. So I'll try to make it last as long as possible. It's surly better than my last laptop. A 32MB Ram with 233Mhz, my mobile phone is faster than that.

Well happy Birthday to madness for yesterday then.
How do you mean the plug keeps melting, how can it be taking enoug power through it to melt? Or is that figurative for just stops working?

Well I replaced the plug on the end and the laptop works perfectly now.
The plug still gets hot but doesn't melt. YAY!
I cannot really explain why it melts, I could get a electrician to tell me either. I've had this damn... laptop open 12times trying to work out the problem.

That must have cost you a bit getting it opened up that much. My dad told me you are better of to buy a new laptop when something goes wrong, because they cost so much to repair.

Well then i should hope you know what you are doing then. I would rather do it at a shop cause if it gets screwed up i can sue them.

Yeah, well I know a fair bit about electronics and circuits and how to use the multimeter and stuff like that. So I can track where the problem is occuring.
But most of the time it's been simple and I never really had to pull the thing to pieces, all along it was just the cable, but the laptop is causing it to heat up and that is a mystery.

I helped one of my friends repair his PS2 once. His brother tripped over the cord and the machine came crashing down a metre onto a hard wooden floor. The front piece of the disc tray fell off and the actual disc tray itself moved inside the machine so it would no longer eject when plugged in. We pulled the machine apart and started fidling with everything and prying the disc tray around... Until they had it professionally looked at after we touched it (having made the disc tray worse) they had to pull the cover off the PS2 to stick in a different game to play.
