They say it’s the little things that make a difference. And the big things like this entire website, to be sure. So, for starters, thank you for developing DriverMadness.net... even though it has no point, since there are official websites, etc. (LOL! What was that guy's deal?)

Back to the other. Recently I was suggesting that there be a test thread for practicing with code in posts. Among other things I was reminded of the Preview button. But also I was informed that it wouldn’t be of any use since we couldn’t use it anywhere else in the place. Zoom, right over my head for sure. Then I was asking some question about creating a certain type of link like those I’ve seen at other message boards, one that allows the page you go to when you click the link to display so far down the page (at a particular post) instead of at the top of the page. I placed the inquiry in the context of HTML code usage, since I didn’t know what I was talking about. Madness reminded me that we don’t use that here, and I finally understood (a few days later after that even) what his previous response regarding code meant. At least I hope I understand. We only use the BB Code, and we don’t have to worry about scripting any of it because tools have been provided in the message board interface to allow us to easily click our way to creating posts that are already about as cool as they are going to get here (all this for security reasons, I think Madness said).

Anyway, the website is cool, and I have enjoyed visiting since discovering the place. And it is for the patience Madness has with us, and his willingness to explain things and educate us about stuff, that I also want to express some gratitude. That’s pretty decent, man.

Also, earlier this year when I went from one online account to the next of mine, stripping them of info or obscuring things in required fields, I managed to lock myself out of one or two places by thoughtlessly entering 2000 as my birth date (choosing that date for no particular reason, probably was the default selection in a drop down list or something). So, as a minor, I was denied access. LOL!

The email account I have associated with the DriverMadness website was one such place where that mistake occurred, and each time I made an attempt to follow instructions for verifying my actual age, something would mess up, and so it took a while to gain access to that email account again. When I got in at last, there was a notice from Driver Madness, announcing the move to this location. So, in closing, thanks for taking time to dispatch those notices, boss. Even though I didn’t know it was there until I already found you guys again, I appreciate you sending out a heads up.

madness, from another thread mentioned below, wrote:...Also since this seems to be getting out of topic I'm going to split this thread up once again.
Actually, I was hoping you did do that, not that I am happy to have put you through what shouldn’t have been a necessary task. Thanks for cleaning up yet another mess of mine, boss. Sorry about that. To tell the truth about it, I had trouble getting to sleep a couple nights since I last posted here, thinking about how I keep messing up this way in the message board at DriverMadness.net.

The lasts few times I visited the message board at DriverMadness.net—in fact, since I registered, really—I had a more than a bit of difficulty sticking to the topic when I posted to some threads, frequently mixing up making comments or asking questions about related topics with being on topic. For example, most recently, there was a thread that was started to ask if anyone was still playing Driver2, and other threads in which members were either posting videos or links to their Driver[1] and DRIV3R videos. I guess I managed to start off with some comments about the actual topics, but then went on to clutter up those threads with questions about creating videos or making a Google Video screen in my posts or other stuff.

I think I should have been more considerate of those who started these threads and posted to them, as well as their general readership. I’m sorry for inadvertently hampering the effectiveness of the search feature in this way, not to mention undermining the work that has gone into making the well conceived and nicely organized web resource that is DriverMadness.net. I’ll try to be more mindful about this in future.

I guess I dug up this particular thread to post this because I appreciate the patience you guys have demonstrated with me since I joined, and for not slapping me around when I mess up, but helping me fix stuff and learn how to be a better member instead. So thanks for all that, then.
