That is a nice Driver website you have there, man. It looks good, is well organized, seems to work well, and is easy to read, too. Nice job. Ultimate Driver reminds me of DriverMadness.net back when Madness had it going really well.

Added a new, but quite minor feature.

For every new news story, a forum topic will be created. A link will appear just below the news story. Click on it and you are brought to the discussion.

This is nothing major, but I think will make the site a little more convenient.

What does everyone else think?

I have to say, your website looks like sh*t. I'm sorry, but it looks like a 12 year old designed it. Get some help and then ask for opinions, the header doesnt even cover the whole f***ing page!

Dr Doom is right, i personally like it better the way it looked before.

i rtathered it that way before too but one or two people told me to change it, and most of you also told me it looked better now. Why not tell me you liked the old one sooner, rather than 2 months later? Also, Doom, no need for the language, calm down. Ps, do u expect me to have a full flash site or something, I dont even Html.

But I'll answer as I think it means.

To make the site and edit it, it's just a drag and drop feature. You can set the layout of the site from pre-made styles or use CSS/HTML and you edit the site using HTM.

I thought Ultimate Driver looked pretty cool, man. Shows you how much I know about web design or whatever, I guess -- about as much as I know about cars. (I thought that Oldsmobile 442 in DRIVER 2 was supposed to be some sort of cross between a '69 and a '70 Firebird. It seems like none of those cars is just like any real one, though.)

Good luck with your Ultimate Driver website, man. The thing with the news story hyperlink to a discussion thread sounds like a good feature. I hope you wind up getting a lot of traffic and a lot of members. I guess you probably will, especially after a new DRIVER game is released.

Just updated the site again.

I've kept the same layout, but changed the header and graphics. The header sort of fits now.

But when I changed the site, the text kept moving to the right of the page and pop-up kept appearing which you couldn't remove, so I deleted a line in the HTML and removed the pop-up but the text was still out of place.
Then, I moved the Twitter News feed and the text moved with it, so I tried moving it around but the text wouldn't go where it was supposed to go.
Anyway, I had to get rid of the Twitter News feed box, so, the site is okay again now.

The new header is actaully the first the site has ever had which has a character or anything else from a Driver game in it, as it was always just text and a picture of a car from the internet.

Basic summary:
-New header
-New graphics
-No Twitter News feed box
-No more ads on the News page.

What's everyone's thoughts on the site now?

Mr. doom has a "account to access DM ftp, but he is only restricted to the forum folder. and i can monitor, what he does.

Actually, I do have a credit card, well, a top up one.

I just buy credit for it like a phone. - So, OK, I suppose it's not a REAL credit card.

But, FYI, you can be any age and have a credit card as long as parent/guardian signs the forms at the start.

I'm not saying I don't trust him, I just don't want to give out my password.

Well let's see, there is a blue background where the header is (i can fix this), the menu links are aligned to the right (i can fix this)...

The blue isn't there anymore, and also, you can't edit the HTML so the top menu items cant be moved.

actually, you see the blue because our resolutions must be higher then his.

The blue was there at the start as it was a glitch on the site, so I just made the image wider and that sorted it, it still happens on the FORUMS page though for some reason.

I'm using 1280x1024.

Why?

see i am using 1610X1050 which means, because you website is aligned to the left, unlike this one which is to the centre. and computer with a bigger resolution then yours will have the blue there, your old design when you first started didn't have this problem because it was a white website and centre aligned. so you should make your new design centre aligned with a white background that would cover the blue

Hey dumbshit, you don't edit the HTML to fix that problem - IT'S CALLED CSS/STYLESHSEETS. I even looked at it, it's all fucked up. HTML DOESNT CONTROL EVERYTHING! You seriously need to take some HTML basic tutorials, because you don't know sh*t about HTML. I know a hell of a lot more then you do, and when I offer you help, you know something's wrong.

A website must be attractive in order to gain popularity - yours fails BADLY. Either let me help you or forever suffer multiple complaints of a sh*tty website design.

Thanks for offering your help and all but I'd rather keep purely designed by myself, and also I can't see myself using your help at all as I'd like to keep my pride, even if that does mean having a ''sh*t'' website.

Also, you're like the only person who keeps saying it's crap, if you hATE USING IT SO MUCH, DONT- SOME PEOPLE CAN LOOK PAST WRITINB ALLIGNED TO THE LEFT AND A TOUCH OF BLUE AND CONCENTRATE ON THE CONTENT- SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

Also, why am I a dumbass because I didn't know that CSS was how the layout of a website was made. 9 out of 10 people woulfnt know that.
