Sweet car.

Guess I'll have to do a repaint of the one for D4.

Having said that, I think that having spotlights on a street-appearance Crown Vic would give away its true identity.

Thank you.

And that would be cool :D It'd be cool if you put spots on the new one too :)

True, but the spotlights are on the car if they were ever needed, and from the back and certain angles (or if you are just totally oblivious to what a police car looks like) you can't tell the spots are on there, so they can catch aggressive drivers.

The car was used as a Govt. Vehicle though, not as a normal service vehicle, so it was probably used to respond to higher up things... like not as a traffic stop vehicle -- even though, the car probably made a few traffic stops anyways. It also has a ticket lamp, so I suppose that indicates that it made traffic stops as-well.

Only the driver's side Spotlight works (Very well and bright, may I add), the passenger side light is hooked up but the bulb is burnt out. Looks like a passenger had a lot of fun with the spotlight ;)

OK, I'll try making some spotlights. I've been working on making more modern lightbar designs for the Crown Vic, so I'll throw some spotlights in. Best of all, they'll be available in chrome or black, turned up or turned down.

As for the spotlight, I found a website with the correct spotlight: http://www.unityusa.com/

Could you be referring to that new Chevy Caprice police car that I read about a couple of days ago?

This would not be the first time that's happened. They rebadged the Holden Monaro as the Pontiac GTO, and again with the Holden Commodore as the Pontiac G8.

Somehow, I kinda figured we were due for a revival of the Caprice.

OTHER NOTE: The Monaro was also sold in the UK under the Vauxhall brand.

There's been rumors of the Caprice Revival for years. Government Motors finnaly came thru with bringing it out. Ironicly, the Taurus SHO and Mustang 5.0 are coming back and the Crown Vic is out in 2011.

You're saying that they're getting rid of the Vic by then?

UPDATE: My research has confirmed this. Personally, I believe that Ford should bring the Falcon over to the states.

Mmm, car, that's a babe of a Vic! Its strange that they left the spotlights on, why would you need them! Hope it brings you many happy years of driving!

Vauxhaull is generally a naf car maker, but when they import the Holden Monaro, then its just lush! A car journalist crippled his old back after spending too long spinning it sideways...
