It may not be the most liked genre of music (especially here) but if there's any metalheads here post some songs so that we can all learn about different bands...so here's 4 songs to start it off
A Faylene Sky - It's Too Early In The Day For Killing Princes
Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall
Six Feet Under - "Shadow Of The Reaper"
As I Lay Dying - "The Darkest Nights"
All four was good just less melodic stuff you know?

Of course Nick had to post his beloved Pitchshifter. I don't listen to metal much. Sometimes I listen to it, but I don't love metal. I'm more into just rock and alternative. Some of my favorite artists are Rise Against and Linkin Park (Artists for my 2010 Driver: 1981 game soundtrack. And yes, this is an official announcement.).

30+ songs down, a shitload more to go. Nice to see all the varied tastes here, everything to and from classic, power, metalcore, industrial, death, melodic, thrash and so on
jackal wrote:Hit me back up with comments.
Bodom, LOG, DT, and ze germans were all good. I'm not really into deathcore/death metal so the other 2 were a little unpleasant lol.

Heaven and Hell - "Follow The Tears"
Orphaned Land - "The Storm Still Rages Inside"
Battlelore - "Storm of the Blades"
Hammerfall - "Hero's Return"

Omg. Finally! I thought we were surrounded by rap and hip-hop freaks!
I love nu-metal, like KoRn and Linkin Park, but move into other stuff on occassion. I grew up with my parents and sister listening to random stuff, like Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins and Alice in Chains, so my taste tends to reflect that...
If you can, I'd say that you should try to see them live. Chris Cornell is amazing, as are Alice.
But anyways:
Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden
Creep- Radiohead
Harlequin Forest
^ At least now people won't ask me about my name!

I used to like nu-metal a lot. But after I started listening to Industrial metal and Melodic Death metal, I started hating nu-metal, and now I completely hate it, except for earlier Linkin Park and Deftones.

Deftones are pretty good. Linkin Park is pretty much the band-love of my life... Can't wait for Chester's album to come out.
But I listen to a lot of music, and there's very little that I hate... Except techno. It's not music, its just noise
Joy Division is pretty good. Just fyi.

I notice techno a lot at parties.
I don't find it dance music, I find it bring me a little down.
Hip-Hop/Rap 4 Life for me!
I like some of Linkin Parks songs, the ones that have incorporated rap style.
Like rap-rock, if you like that style, Run-DMC is a great!
Try listing to "Rock Box" by Run-DMC! It's a great classic from the 80's.
I also noticed Ice-T and Public Enemy use this style a little.
But Run-DMC nailed it with Rock Box.
Rap-Metal is quite similar, with Cypress Hill at the top of my list on there later album "Skull & Bones".

I don't understand alot of people's tastes in music. Some like whatever the sh*t is on the radio and download and such even if they don't like it.
My MP3 player has a total of 269 (soon to be 271) songs on it (keep in mind that there are 4 game soundtracks on that) (2 of which are quite large).

At the moment my phone has 1168 songs, that's 2 days 14 hours of music to choose from. I would have much more if there was enough space.
There is nothing on the radio I like, it's all highly commercialized crap.
These highly commercialized rappers can go get f*****.

I don't care for metal, I like a bit of rap, but I grew up listening to oldies. THat was what my dad liked/likes. I grew up with that, and my ears bleed when I hear techno and all that sh*t

Me and Sedans are the only rap and hip-hop freaks!
As far as I'm aware. Thinking were surrounded is an overstatement.
Sorry if I over saturate my love of hip-hop.

Does you dad like any old school rap/hip-hop tracks?
I'd be interested to know if he, does and what those tracks might be.

No, not really. That's more me. I like 80's and early 90's rap.

I don't mean to hijack this thread.

My phone has 154 songs. All of them are Metal songs (Industrial, Deathcore, Thrash, NWOBHM and Melodeath). When I get time, I'll get some Drum n' Bass songs.
