Youtube and other videos...

I have the ability to get Youtube videos posted on a more public site, but I'm not good with it or anything. So basically, I'm giving you all the chance to get way more hits on your videos.
Ones based arounds gaming, like driver, would be best.
Leave me the link and I'll see about getting it put up.

Thanks Madness...I knew you had one, but I couldn't find a reference to it on here (mainly because this site is huge!) and I couldn't remember the exact name...Lol!

If there are any others people want up, I might be able to get it done soon!

This is a strict might. I have connections, but they may be beaten down by better videos...Sorry guys!

I've been chatting to the techie from the Nova radio station who takes care of the website and chatroom, and he's looking for cool or amusing videos to show on the website. More specifically, he wants some gaming ones, and I thought that some of you guys might want yours to be further broadcast...

Sounds good! 8)
I have some good videos on my youtube profile.
But there not the best and I can do a lot better if I can spend a lot more time making them.

I have no time for the next 6 weeks.
I have 4 weeks left flat-out at school.
1 week after that to repair and resell 4 computer systems.
and another week after that I have to work on a website for someone.
In amongst that I have to develop myself a portfolio website and do a little more work on the DriverWiki.

So in about 7 to 9 weeks time, I'll spend a lot of time to create an amazing video. I remember starting a few projects at the start of this yeah then school started and I forgot about them  .

I'd love to revisit them  .

Since his looking for some good ones; I'll work on some amazing ones!
If anyone has any ideas and/or would like to tell me what they think will be amazing to watch fell free to tell me, if you have some good ideas make a new thread somewhere and I'll think about working on it in about 9 weeks time.

Now it's back to school work! :(

i just got one question, what's really the point for anyone outside Australia do do this, considering its an Australian site, and yes i know accessed by everyone and its like this one, but the type of website makes it a huge difference and somehow i don't think this will work for anyone outside Australia. And harlequin before you say anything THIS IS MY OPINION. and the next thing is how much time do we have, and no i ain't making one i am just voicing a question someone might want the answer to. personally i think it would be more feasible to give our videos to CJayc and the new video site his is making. and again THIS IS MY OPINION

I assume that's the "Driver: Working Title (Preview)".
It's a good one, but we all have to remember it's a fake :o .
Some people think it's real and it could give the series a bad reputation.
But most people realize it's actually crash day! I also realized next generation graphics looks a lot better than I originally thought. So sometime in the future I'd like to create a fake that looks real.

Suprise - We get to see someones head explode.

This is just a general gameplay video, with a fair bit of action.

I'd recommend those two some more :).

Yeah, I'd like a link if it isn't too much trouble finding it.
Maybe, I can write and article about the video getting onto that website.

I just submitted the other two...I don't know how long it'll take the admin staff to look at them and put them up, but it shouldn't be too long.

http://www.nova919.com.au/site/shows/la ... clips.aspx

At the moment, there's only one Driver video up.

CJayC video site has an entirely different purpose, and no one knows about it except us and his friends.

Nova's website is much more popular, it's ranked 518,350 most popular website in the world.
Australia 93.9%
Canada 4.0%
Other countries 2.1%
Sure most of their traffic is from Australia, how won't it work with people outside australia. Hell I could be from Iraq, or Gareth Edmondson from Ubisoft Reflections pretending to be a 16 year old kid so I can learn more about what the community thinks about the driver series.

If I was Gareth Edmondson, I wouldn't live in Australia and it would be exzactly the same as if I lived in UK.

Please tell me what differences there are? cause I don't get what your trying to say.

For statistical reasons Driver Madness is ranked 3,384,886 most visited website in the world. It used to be an estimated 1,800,000 until the site went down.

and for any of you who is wondering what NOVA 919 is, it's a FM Radio Station located in Adelaide, Australia (I think).

and there website

Cool 8)
Nice :D

If there is ever going to be any form of announcment about anything related to the driver series, it'll be awesome if you can find out in advanced so I can listen to it, record it and put it on the DriverWiki for other driver fans to listen to.
:D

HAHAHAHAHA its madness's video i love that video, good times.

and i mean more people view it from Australia so statisticly, if you want your video to do well it is just as good on you tube if not better then nova and i know its different, i was using Cjayc as an example look, i ain't saying you shouldn't i am just saying my opinion, and also madness you know there over 10 nova sites around the world?

I thought there was one in Brisbane and maybe Sydney or was that another radio station :?: .

If they view it from australia, it'll get more australians into the driver series and we will have more driver fans (from Australia) on these forums 8).

Now it's on Nova and YouTube.
Remember the Nova version is just a link to the youtube version.
But having a popular site backing it will increase the views of my profile ultimatly increasing the people who visit this forum.

In fact I don't think I have a link to the new forums so I'll add it to the Driver Madness channel soon, and then we'll see if we get any new australians on these forums.

I'm aware of that.
But making a link that said it's the forums directly on YouTube, then more people might be interested in participating in forums rather than looking through a site.

They don't know that links to forums until I tell them!

But what about Google? They can search on Google for the forums... or not.

Posted: Sat Oct 11, 2008 2:16 pm
by madness
Yes, but this will only work if they enter Driver Madness forums, this is because the term 'driver' means so many different things.

They have a chance at finding these forums if they type something similar to the content found on these forums though.

But what if they didn't really think about looking for a driver community.
They could go past the youtube channel and see that there is a community and click on it. Making things so much easier.

There's a Nova in every state I think...Not definite, but I've spoken to people from W.A. who have listened to the Adelaide one because apparently its better than the W.A one...Lol!
You can access pretty much any website, from any country, so long as you have the right address. That's like, year 4 IT.

Yes, it does focus more so on getting Australians to view it, but consider how many people there are in Australia. Then think about how many of them access websites like the Nova one. I can tell you that there are a lot. The admin staff have mentioned quite a few times that they get quite a number of hits on their site each day, as Madness said, its a pretty f#$^ing popular website.

And yeah Madness, I'll ask about getting a link attached to it...At the very least I'll submit a comment that has the link to the Drivermadness channel
***Edit*** It turns out that attached to the video is the link you have to the Driver Madness site. Is that what you wanted? Lol!

I took a look at this site. It doesn't seems to be my kind of website, but it can bring more people here, and that would be nice.

Very little difference.
and the new subscriber isn't from Australia.

I'm not complaining, but it hasn't made too much difference to the traffic viewing my channel.

My bad...I'll try and find a way to convince them to put a link to the channel on the site or something...
I will think of something!

At the very least, I'll post a link on my myspace page...That'll get you a few hits...

you can't put madness website on myspace i found out a couple of weeks ago it is against the privacy policy or somethiing like that to advertise website on your myspace that you don't 100% own, yeah i was bumded about that to, i had madness's site in my status, and it got changed by a moderater guy and i got an email saying not to do that

I could try to do it on my Orkut profile, however I'm pretty sure that nobody would give a crap, unless if I create some kind virus or worm and release it to people access the forums.

tell the moderator guy either that you own the site or that the site owner allowed you to put that link there!

I don't see how it could be a problem.

If your looking to promote Driver Madness check out the following threads.
The official thread, with appropriate code to enter.
http://forum.drivermadness.net/viewtopic.php?t=584

A thread with much more signatures without appropriate codes.
http://www.forum.drivermadness.net/viewtopic.php?t=471

I'll start adding them to the this sometime by the end of the year. I'll then remake the same page for the DriverWiki and then we could start a DriverWiki kit 8) .
