You already have snow? How far in the north of Finland do you live?
I love the cold and snow as well, still waiting for the snow to come yet however. Last year there was so much snow, I haven't seen so much in at least 10 years, I hope it will be the same this year :D (or next one, snow always arrives around January-February here)

But the pre-christmas time is great too, drinking punch and eating Gingerbread at the christmas market is just how it should be!

I live in Southern-Finland. Snow tends to come early down here. Even more so up north. That's cool though.

I have to agree, Pre-Christmas rules. Christmas overall. Only thing I'm not a big fan of is how early the sun sets down.

Well even southern Finland is pretty far up north I guess :P It's something we sadly never see: christmas with snow…

And yep, I've been looking for the last few days, and the sun disappears at exactly 16h over here. So at 15h30 you basically have a sunset already

Slight chance that we are getting a harsh winter, although something tells me that we are getting snow in April.

Just...wow. The mustang is not meant to be a Japanese sports car!!! This is a step in the wrong direction, the Mustang is a muscle car, so why make it a look like a sports car???? :x

Well, how's a muscle car meant to look these days? The front is ugly by the way, the rear is good. I think what makes a muscle car is the engine and the way the car drives ;)

This resembles a Mustang to you?

Must be a weird Mustang, never seen one like this

Hmm, I googled "British Mustang" and all I saw were planes and a few Ford Mustangs :D Only Aston I saw was this one:

Image

I thought it was funny considering this car came out when the Mustang didn't even exist yet  Probably it's only called the "British Mustang" in American Aston Martin clubs anyway

Aww you believe in God?
And you feel beaten by me? Come on…

What I thought was funny however is how dated the Mustang looked compared to the Aston:

Image

They're more or less from the same year. The Mustang really looks like a 60s car, while the Aston Martin looks like a maybe late 70s or perhaps even very early 80s car if you ask me. Was ahead of it's time I guess… but I must admit, I don't like this particular model…

You're comparing pears with apples, Mustang obviously had a lower budget and lower qualities, it's not a supercar, and that's why i doesn't have a radical design, but when Larry Shinoda came in he made of one of the most beautifull Mustangs ever in my opinion.

Here's some early concepts of Mustangs

I see a fastback inspiration here (also those models are before that Aston Martin, except 1971 Fastback). For me it doesn't matter if it looks dated, beauty is subjective and i like those cars.

Fastbacks already existed for a while, and the fastback Mustang came later (the Aston existed before already). The Mustang that came around the same year as the Aston was a sedan Mustang. It was a slow convertible for women before it was later turned into a sports car with a fastback version :)

But it doesn't really matter…

Here's a 1965-66 Fastback, two years before Aston Martin DBS, also a GT-350 version existed with 306 HP, so it wasn't a secreatary's car.

No, the fastback came 1966 (approx. the same year as the DBS), but I wasn't talking about the DBS, just about fastbacks generally. The DBS is based on earlier models which were out a decade before already, and even these weren't the first fastbacks. Fastbacks simply slowly evolved, you could say the 300SL even had some early form of fastback already.

And the Mustang you mentioned that later had 300 hp was a Shelby, not a Ford. It was a modified car therefore… the original Mustang had around 200 hp I think which was okay because it wasn't that heavy actually. The Aston already had 330 unmodified, it was heavier however. And yes it was a car for women, Shelby was the one who turned it into a sports car. Just like he took the AC Ace and pumped it up to turn it into a Cobra :)

You should play Driv3r again and see by yourself one of the first fastbacks ever. I know that it's a Shelby but Mustang at first wasn't oriented as a sports car, it was after the boom of muscle cars in following years when they started to increase the power. Aston Martin can make more powerful (they modify the engine as they want, without almost limits) cars because they've guaranteed sales of the rich, which only have cars for exposition and rust. They better treat them the way it was meant to be, a car, a not a fashion item. Mustang on the other hand have to focus on middle class and you've to limit your budget to that particular kind of people.
Coyote wrote:The Aston already had 330 unmodified
282 HP, on the other hand a real Mustang (no Shelby) had 271 HP.

Another similar Aston Martin to the Mustang is this one.

I just looked on Wikipedia now, the Aston could be delivered in standard version (286 hp as you say) or with the 330 hp. For the year where it had that power, the Mustang had 200-220 hp :)

What do you mean with the Ferrari also? The first fastbacks existed already in the early 1930s, maybe even earlier - so the Ferrari is a really bad example! Fastbacks weren't something that suddenly happened, but something that evolved slowly :)

You must be dumb thinking that Ferrari is a fastback, the Ferrari reference was for pricks who use their car as a fashion item.
And i told you go to play Driv3r to see one of the first fastbacks ever, read more carefully.
And also look the 1964–1966 Mustang wiki.
Also i can't find those 330HP that you mention. Now i see that it's a DB6. By then Ford already had a Cobra Jet engine with 335HP

Yes, I see it now, in 1965 a 270 hp version was produced, which means for model year 1966 and upwards (don't confuse production year and model year). It doesn't matter which car has 10 more horsepower anyway. For the DBS, just look at Wikipedia I guess? I wasn't talking about the DB6, but about the DBS :)

I'm not sure which car in Driver 3 you mean, the Bugatti Atlantic maybe? There's tons of fastbacks… fastback is nothing more than another word for a coupé really, "fast" and "back" meaning it most likely isn't a sedan with a flat trunk lid :P

Also about the Ferrari: I'm pretty sure it was built to drive like this, if it's to have it stand in the garage all the time it's not worth it, same goes for people going to the country club (using it as a fashion item ;) )or the supermarket, a Toyota Yaris will do the job  It's just tempting when you have so much horsepower do drive like enthusiastically, it doesn't mean the car is being damaged anyway. Cars need to be driven and if they stand it's bad for them, I know what I'm talking about :) I have an oldtimer that stood for too long and the amount of money needed to repair it now would be big. Plus, I've seen worse usage of exotic cars anyway!
