Yeah, I live up in a state where the roads are full of idiots. I've never had an accident before, but I've come close on quite a few occasions. One of these days, I'm gonna get a '72 Corvette with a 454 & soup it up so I can play "Mad Max" against sloppy motorists.

How old are you, Wheelman? Does 1975 reflect your actual age?

No, 75 was just a random number I chose. I like stuff from the 70's, and I though 75 was the best number to go with "Wheelman".

Not a good idea. Most probably while ripping up the road you'd get hit by some idiot, uninsured, probably even an undocumented illegal alien, and your insurance would total out the Vette due to its age.

How can Wheelman75 have been hiding his age when it is publicly displayed on his profile page?
Miller wrote:I guess your car is like the one in the screenshot you posted, after all, which shows a car without those bumper things. Hey, man, that was also cool how you have the same exact hubcaps on the 3D model as in real life.
Sedans wrote:I took them off because they were bending my bumper cover. Unfortunately, it was too late. My bumper cover is messed up now but I like it better without the pushbars on the front anyways.

It's not that bad though, like I said, I like the car better without the pushbars. I liked them too, but I felt that it was killing the look of the car and I wasn't happy about that.
Oh, I see.
Sedans wrote:Yeah, someone (another CV enthusiast) made the 3D model for me. It's not exact but it's pretty damn close.
Hey, I like the cars, including Crown Victorias, that are made by those dudes, BxBugs123 and MASTAFLY. Did either of them make your model, too, Sedans? Those guys are good at that sort of thing. It seems like they never get tired of uploading videos of police car mods, and I never get tired of viewing them.

Thank you for the replies, Sedans.

No. Neither of them made the car for me. As far as I know MASTAFLY is like 14 and BxBugs.. well I don't know him. I had Masta on myspace and kept in touch with him for a good while. We haven't spoken in about 2 years.

Plus the pushbars just gave my car more stigma. I never had any problems, but I was getting tired of evil looks from people in neighborhoods and getting cut off in traffic. Of course, apparently I still have that stigma because people still do that, but personally I like the car better without the pushbumper on. Plus people brake check me way too much. One of these days, someone is going to piss me off royally when brake checking me and I'm gonna....

Though they did obliterate a piece of debris on the highway once. :D

Is that to me, boss? What, are those pages up? Am I the only one still going to the old DriverMadness.net website or something? I wonder what you had to do to fix those MS Word authored pages.

It seems like some complete replacements with a few improvements overall could be useful. I would not mind making them if no one else is already doing so.

I saw you and madness on together yesterday—or whatever day it was where you guys live—while I was studying the behavior of the bots that visit DriverMadness.net and comparing it with the patterns those same bots have exhibited across the entire World Wide Web. Were you guys working on your website some more, boss?

Oh, hey, you know what, man? I listen to the BBC more than American news programs, and on there they mention Australian poltics. How do you guys feel about the way recent elcetions have turned out, if one can say they did? I thought it was cool when Harlequin wrote that you guys have a lady for a PM, so I think I started paying attention a bit more. I like those sorts of developments.

I liked it :) We still don't technically have a PM. It's pretty irritating. I thought that Labour would have taken it out by now, but apparently not :( I don't want to go back to a Liberal country. I have to admit though, if Jules hadn't ousted K-Rudd, the election would be done by now, we'd have someone amazing in charge, and I wouldn't have had to vote Greens #1... But I still would have. A lot of people thought she was a b*t*h, so they didn't vote for her... Hopefully more people think Abbott's a wanker... Lol.
The election (voting process) was pretty cool though. I'm a bit of a politics nerd (I watched the entire election process for the US when Obama won. That was nifty), so I did the massive vote: 42 senate seats and 8 party selections. I had to. I had to make sure that no-one from family first got in. I'm for everything they're against. Lol.

This business of how Prime Minister Gillard came to office as PM in the first place is one thing the BBC has mentioned in their reports. I guess that arena can be a place of aggressive maneuvering sometimes. Too bad, Rudd seems like a guy who cares about making sense. Aw, what do I know about it? I guess his ousting had something to do with the fact that people can only swallow so many reform pills so fast. Someone must like the guy, for him to have gotten his seat back.

I do not know much about Rudd outside of what I have heard on the news. You would have to be living on some other planet to not know the guy speaks Chinese. I do not know how many times during April I heard that he “has flawless Mandarin.” What about you guys; did you hear that a time or two?

I just like leaders whose first priority is making sense, and not their own egos. This is what I like about bb_42001; he is about trying to make this website instead of trying to make this website about him. I admire the boss and commend him for that.

So, what was I saying? Something about this Gillard woman and Kevin Rudd… and you, Harlequin. Oh, yeah; now I remember what I was going to say. Remind me never to get on your ‘ranga’ side.

Hey, I look good in red, too. If that had been a snake I would be bitten, I guess. That must have happened recently because it has not been very long since I lost interest in admiring my new avatar, and I just noticed my post count not many days ago. It seems like I would have noticed this as well while looking over there then.

Thank you, boss, for your confidence and trust. Maybe I can avoid making you sorry for this. Now I have an official license to be helpful, which means that I am no longer annoying, but informative.

Man, I hate moderators almost as much as I hate the cops. Now look at me. Looking forward to the hate mail. I guess I better brush up on my people skills. How does that go then, STFU damn you?

I hate politics, btw. This bullsh** about Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown is getting on my nerves. EVERY 5 f***ing MINUTES ITS "Jerry brown has no plan. MEG WHITMAN 4 GOVENR LIEK OMFG"

There seems to be a rather unique variety of censoring filter in effect here. LOL
Dr. Doom wrote:Why are you a moderator now, Miller? I thought you were just a piece of ****, no good asshole?
To the casual observer those might easily seem to be the required qualifications.
Dr. Doom wrote:Just kidding, congrats!
Well played. Is that what they call eating your cake and having it, too?

Yes, it is pretty disconcerting much of the time. In addition to the question of whether or not Jerry Brown can do it again in November, my interest where California is concerned has been drawn to the issues of same-sex marriage and recreational marijuana use.

Thank you for the reply, Dr. Doom. Have a nice weekend, man.

It seems I too have been ousted. Damn. At least now K-Rudd and I have something to chat about on twitter... Lol
I'm not a natural ranga, but people seem to think it suits me... Will be blonde next weekend, and a brunette again after that ;)
I'm not supposed to be online right now... I only have twenty minutes before I go out, but I wanted to tell you all I had my first driving lesson :) It was horrible. The instructor took me on one of the busiest roads in the state, and then yelled at me for being tense... No, really?! Bb, can you tell me what driving school you used? I need a new instructor... :p

Oh! Also, @Wheelman, high five for the not-teenagers ;)

Haha you're in a similar situation like I was with what driving school I should go to - Glendora Driving School! All my friends have gone there, it's a pretty popular place! I got in for $230 for the whole thing, both training and actual behind the wheel, but it's $240 now! Score!

I loved my driving lessons, I was lucky to get a nice driving instructor who I got on well with, plus I got a free lift home from college! Also, out of blatant curiosity, how much are you guys gonna spend on lessons? I spent UK£ 400 which is about 616.8 US$ before I took my test (and passed first time, yay!).

Its nout compared to running the thing! Its £ 5.00 (7.70 US$) a gallon of petrol, £ 2000 (3080 US$) for insurance and a bit more for the road tax...
