Un-knot your panties there, chief...
I work a HARD LABOR job & do odd jobs for people in my free time for money. I pay the insurance on the vehicles & guess what, the car was practically free - since the insurance from my accident gave me 7K for my old Vic and the one I have now only cost 9K, I damn near got my '05 for free. The insurance on the pick'em up isn't cheap, nor is the Vic. State minimum was raised last year & I'm struggling. I work hard for my money & can afford two cars. And FYI, I buy my own food usually twice a week, so that's even more of my money I use just so I can eat. Not to mention I usually pay for my lunch at school too. I also have a hand in paying the BILLS in this house.
If that's spoiled, then I guess I'm rotten.
So before you come at me with accusations, maybe you should learn a few facts. Don't come at me unless you know what you're talking about - which, obviously, right now, you don't.
Actually, Sedans, I'd have to agree with them... I work two jobs, and one's a night job, so I get paid a pretty amount and I can't afford a car. Of course, I pay bills, rent, for food and now driving lessons, so maybe it's just that a 20 year old has more important things to spend money on than a 16 year old...

"Lucky people are lucky"
Careful how you use the phrase "lucky". You don't know how people live, if someone has a car but is in debt, doesn't have a home, and is being divorced, is he lucky? What if you didn't know all that, what if you just thought he was lucky because he had a car & you didn't know all that other stuff, is he still lucky? NO.
...Well, someone was in a bit of a mood. I might be the only one who read Nick's post the way I did, but back when I was 16, if one of my friend's had had a car, I would have been sitting there going "dude, what the f**k, you lucky son of a b*t*h." Even at my age, if someone buys a new car, it's "You lucky b*t*h, gtfo."... I'm pretty sure that's what Nick meant. After all, how many divorced, indebted, homeless 16 year olds with cars do you know?
I still have to wait two years until I can get a driving licence. Well, I'm better than Harlequin!
What's that supposed to mean?! Lol, just kidding man... Is that a full licence or just start learning to drive?I can start driving without anyone else in... February I think... So long as I pass the test

I'm pretty sure I will though, I'm better with practical tests rather than theory.
But you guys are laughing/criticising me for not getting my licence until now? What do you guys have to do to get your licence? Here, you have to sit a theory exam, then spend 6 months on your learners, where you can only drive with a licenced driver in the car, then you have to take another test (practical, at least) to get onto your p1's, which let you drive around unassisted, provided you have plates up, for one year, or until you turn 19 (according to my book...?) provided you have no demerit points (for speeding, dui's, etc) and pass a hazard perception test, then you go onto your p2's (no plates!) for at least six months before you can get your full licence.
From what you guys have been saying, you take one practical test, and you have your licence. Who would like to b*t*h at me for not having mine? Please, I welcome it, just so I can destroy you.

It sounds like the streets are becoming a whole lot scarier. As far as I can tell, many people where I live do not worry very much about having a valid driver's license.

And before you say it, I have noticed we have a couple of new people (Yo!), but it's still nowhere near the calibre that it was when Madness was in charge...
Or maybe I'm crazy... Actually, no maybe about it. I'm crazy, but about this I'm sure...

That is pretty much it in a nutshell. It has nothing to do with who is in charge. DriverMadness.net will be looking nice by the time the release of DSF brings new members to the forum.
I just noticed I now have 500 posts. That seems like sort of a milestone for someone like me. I guess that means I have posted 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 words.
Good luck finding the right automobile, Harlequin.
I know, bb and Miller, that there hasn't been a lot of news for a while. That's not what I meant though. I meant that, even though there wasn't a lot of news when Madness was in charge, there was still a lot more traffic... Now it's barely a trickle...
