Well, Im hoping that when the sun in our nice little solar system dies, that we (man kind) will be in another Galaxy using there sun :D 8)
1. We'll all die. The Earth will freeze over. Think 'The Day After Tomorrow' except...Well...Everywhere and colder. There won't be any light. None.

2. It won't matter anyway. Everyone currently alive on Earth now will be long dead by the time that happens.
Wow...I sound like George Bush...Not caring about what happens to future generations...Huh...Never thought I'd accomplish that.

we will be long dead, but it will still be NASA who will be the organization which will start it all!

Yeah. Thats right! An American will save the world! (No offence to all Americans on here...)

More like the Chinese, Russians or Japanese.

the funny thing is the Chinese, Russians and Japanese all are partners with NASA and they share some technology. Yes they are rivals, but on occasion they help everyone out, Even more so now the international space station is getting constructed. But more likely NASA will turn into a world space organization.

Sharing resources and actually doing something are two very different things.
I'm telling you. It will not be the US that come up with a plan to do with saving the Earth's population. They weren't the first to send a rocket into space, and they won't be able to do anything about what will happen.

But it still won't matter. By the time it becomes necessary to think about colonies on other planets, Global Warming would have killed everyone off.

Nice attitude. It's really refreshing.

Why don't you just go and snuggle up to George Bush. You'd be great friends. "It's not happening to us, so why should we care?"

Wow. I had this really great dig, but I'd hate to get in trouble from Madness for it, so I'll just disappear for a while, yeah?

It doesn't matter whether you care. I don't want Madness to ban me.
And you said something remarkably similar to George Bush in your "and we shouldn't care as we will of been in the ground for centuries" speech...

I've seen An Inconvenient Truth. I'm also a member of Al Gore's fan club :P
I think he's an intelligent man who actually cares about the state of the world, not about himself or about how much money he is making.

slightly off topic, is there a way to embed a video?

and my view are different to G.W but i also think some of the inconvenient truth is a lie, but it does outline the matters we are facing

I was pretty sure that 'An Inconvenient Truth' was about the crisis we're facing with Global Warming and the fact that one of the world's biggest polluter's refuses to sign the Kyoto Protocol.

I could be wrong though :)
I mean...An Inconvenient Truth could stand for anything...There could be an inconvenient truth about a lack of world resources...Oh shoot...There is...
Ok...What about an inconvenient truth about dictatorships massacring humans whilst the supposed dominant world power invades a country which has, technically, done nothing wrong except supposedly store nuclear weapons...Of which no trace has been found since the nation was invaded years ago...Oh wait! That one's obvious too!!!
Damn...Why can't I find an inconvenient truth that's not totally obvious?!?!

i mean some of the footage is a lie, some of the footage for the movie was done 6 years before the movies was made

How does that make it a lie?

And it's considerably more accurate than Bowling for Columbine and Super-size Me...And that one about 9-11...And pretty much anything Michael Moore has ever had a hand in...

look i still think the movie shows us stuff that's happening around us, but AL gore should of used footage from that time not others, because he lost peoples opinions with the old footage.

And go you have to attack everything i say!

No. I just attack every stupid thing you say.
Point 1. Kyoto Protocol-Initiated 1997. An Inconvenient Truth-released 2006. You kind of have to use old footage, get it?
Point 2. Global warming is an issue that has been known about for decades. Once again, old footage=good.
Point 3. Industrial Revolution began 250 years ago...That means that old things caused new things...Old footage=good.

Need I go on???

Once again, how about Michael Moore using statistics that didn't actually exist to convince people of his point of view?
How about that retard in Super Size Me, Morgan Spurlock, who presented inaccurate facts to convince people of his opinion? And had serious health issues because of it...All of which he deserved...
(Edit: Plus the fact that Spurlock's experiment was repeated by several other individuals, with little difference in mood or liver issues, and in most cases, weight loss...)
Al Gore presented a documentary based on fact, unlike the two previously mentioned. Sometimes, in documentaries, it becomes necessary to show footage from years gone by. It's called backing up evidence.

i give up almost everything i say you attack.

this is a forum, so its my opinion, it may be wrong or right, but it's mine. SO don't try and say everything's wrong and and stay whats right, that's your opinion DO NOT push it on me! i don't care if i am wrong, what i said was what i thought, you could of just said i think its actually........., like everyone else does. No you push your opinion on me. I mean your opinion may be right, say what it is and leave it at that, don't push it. I say something then you say straight afterword's why what i say is wrong.

all i am saying is please stop it!

Actually, this may be a forum, but what you did is called defamation. It's when you make a false statement that you claim to be fact. Instead of slandering someone who is actually trying to make a difference in this world, you should check what you write.
And you didn't present it as an opinion. You said, and I quote:
some of the footage is a lie, some of the footage for the movie was done 6 years before the movies was made
This is you presenting something as fact.
The following is an opinion:
I think he's an intelligent man who actually cares about the state of the world, not about himself or about how much money he is making.
Maybe you should get your definitions about what an opinion is checked too...Because I'm not pushing an opinion. If I wanted to push an opinion I would and you would know. Maybe you don't realise that what you're doing is presenting an opinion. I don't really care. But now you're trying to tell me that I can't say anything, so allow me to beg my forgiveness...
Not that I give a flying fcuk about what you think or anything, but if you are allowed to constantly push your opinion on people, and no-one else is allowed to say anything, I think it's pretty unfair. You don't have to have the last say in anything. Sometimes it is better to admit you are wrong. I'd do it, but I'm not wrong, so why the hell should I?

I would, however, love someone else's view on whether I am not letting him voice his opinion...But once again, it wasn't an opinion.
Opinions normally start with 'I think' and not stating something as a fact, when it isn't.

Have a nice night. :D
