To be honest NFS MW is the worst Need for Speed
IMO
I use to play NFS since the very first one was released, it's called "The Need For Speed", initially i had the demo version but then i found the complete game. That game is over 10 years old, graphic wasnt very bad to be an old game, but there were tracks, not cities, that's what i liked of NFS.
Then i found NFS II SE, not bad at all, there were a lot of cars there.
I also got NFS III Demo, not the very best one but i liked it.
Finally i bought NFS High Stakes, it's the best NFS IMO, easy modding, a lot of cars available on the web, a cool graphic to be an old game (1999) and a very enjoyable competitions. I spent all my life there lol.
Need For Speed Porsche 2000, the second best NFS IMO, maybe the story wasnt very long but i wish i could play it again. Still tracks
I bought also NFS Hot Porsuit 2, the graphic was awesome, my old 3DFX couldnt run it lol, cool tracks and cars, very detailed and enjoyable competitions like High Stakes, i liked it a lot.
And finally, Underground, i consider it the revolution inside NFS because there were no more tracks, but just cities. Unfortunately i have just the demo version, but it seems cool, even if it was the "weird" version of NFS. The graphic was extremly good.
Underground 2, i got it and it's one of the best, it's complete of everything, there are a ton of interesting stuff, and the best part of the game was the modding part, sheesh i like it so much.
One of the latest NFS is Most Wanted, one of the worst ever because it looks like Underground 2, too much, but the modding section is very limited, it made the game not enjoyable (or at least not enjoyable for me), Probably because i havent yet completed it, but oh well, a game is made to be enjoyed, which didnt happen and i play it once in a while, just to complete another NFS.
I havent played Carbon nor i have seen it, it sounds cool and im looking for it, but i think it'll be like Most Wanted.
This is the list of NFS i myself played (except Carbon), i made it to make you see that NFS changed a lot, maybe too much, i loved the old series and when i saw there was a whole available city in Underground 2 (maybe Underground 1 too) i was kinda "cool, it's different but it's cool". I thought they were going to put a whole city just in those series because the old NFS had tracks, technically NFS was getting too close to other games such as Driver, GTA and Midtown Madness, but NFS wasnt meant to be like them, that's what i dislike of the latest NFS's. I remember there was a cool map in Porsche 2000 valled aurvegne or something like that, it was a "crossed ways" track, there were ways, shorter but more difficult ways, plazas, shortcuts and very small ways, like a very small middle age town, but still a track, i'd rather to have tracks like that in the next NFS's than whole cities, i DO like whole cities, but when i want to race there i play other games, not NFS.
...but maybe it's just me
