Well since I don't have any driv3r game and I won't get it until parallel lines comes out, I might as well psot gta related topic, since i'm also a fan of it.

Well, I'm just asking, which GTA title is your favourite? you can choose anyone, from GTA london right through to GTA San Andreas.

I love San Andreas, because of the size of it and the gangster theme, new features and big cities, Vice city is second, because of the nice weather there. 8)

Well as soon as I get a driv3r game, then i'll start posting more at forums, I saw it at a friend and liked it, even though it was on low graphics, not looking good, lol.

My FAVIOURITE gta is VICE CITY.
Because it has great motorbikes which can preform amazing stunts.
And Vice City is alot easier to mod.

I was just thinking that DRIVER came out with the free ride type thing first i wonder if GTA copyied or got there idea from DRIVER's free ride mode.

I think DRIVER was the first game with a free ride mode.

Rockstar games Took many ideas from Driver...
(There's also a mission in GTA 3 in stounton Island where you have to kill Tanner - That really S*cks)
The "Bank Job" mission from Driver 1 is also in GTA 3.

Everyone just seems to be stealing everyones idea's. I guess that's just how the world goes. But there should be no problem people stealing other peoples idea's, it just adds to the fun :)

The first ever free ride game is Midtown Madness by Microsoft (may 1999) i think, but Midtown Madness has not a story line (its modes are:cruise, checkpoints, blitz and circuit), but GTA2 already allowed to steal vehicles and ride arond the map...but it had a very odd cam and it seemed a 2D game.

I like all GTAs, mostly San Andreas because there are lot of interesting and new stuff.

For all GTA fans: There is a program called MTA, it makes you play online against other racers around the world. You can find race and Cops vs robbers servers. Very fun! :D

MTA dosen't seem to work for me, I may try it again another day though.
Also I'm pretty sure Midtown Madness came out 1 month earlier than Driver but Driver could not have copyied any of there idea's because they would have have to have the game created ealier so, there is enough time for production.

Driver and Midtown Madness are 2 differents games, none of them copied ideas from the other, the only thing both Driver and MM have is the cruise mod.

Both MM and Driver rock! :D

But there good to have a play with but I usually get board with it.

I just got Need For Speed: Most Wanted and I'd say that games alot better. Although DRIV3R is still the top of my list :D

To be honest NFS MW is the worst Need for Speed IMO

I use to play NFS since the very first one was released, it's called "The Need For Speed", initially i had the demo version but then i found the complete game. That game is over 10 years old, graphic wasnt very bad to be an old game, but there were tracks, not cities, that's what i liked of NFS.

Then i found NFS II SE, not bad at all, there were a lot of cars there.

I also got NFS III Demo, not the very best one but i liked it.

Finally i bought NFS High Stakes, it's the best NFS IMO, easy modding, a lot of cars available on the web, a cool graphic to be an old game (1999) and a very enjoyable competitions. I spent all my life there lol.

Need For Speed Porsche 2000, the second best NFS IMO, maybe the story wasnt very long but i wish i could play it again. Still tracks

I bought also NFS Hot Porsuit 2, the graphic was awesome, my old 3DFX couldnt run it lol, cool tracks and cars, very detailed and enjoyable competitions like High Stakes, i liked it a lot.

And finally, Underground, i consider it the revolution inside NFS because there were no more tracks, but just cities. Unfortunately i have just the demo version, but it seems cool, even if it was the "weird" version of NFS. The graphic was extremly good.

Underground 2, i got it and it's one of the best, it's complete of everything, there are a ton of interesting stuff, and the best part of the game was the modding part, sheesh i like it so much.

One of the latest NFS is Most Wanted, one of the worst ever because it looks like Underground 2, too much, but the modding section is very limited, it made the game not enjoyable (or at least not enjoyable for me), Probably because i havent yet completed it, but oh well, a game is made to be enjoyed, which didnt happen and i play it once in a while, just to complete another NFS.

I havent played Carbon nor i have seen it, it sounds cool and im looking for it, but i think it'll be like Most Wanted.

This is the list of NFS i myself played (except Carbon), i made it to make you see that NFS changed a lot, maybe too much, i loved the old series and when i saw there was a whole available city in Underground 2 (maybe Underground 1 too) i was kinda "cool, it's different but it's cool". I thought they were going to put a whole city just in those series because the old NFS had tracks, technically NFS was getting too close to other games such as Driver, GTA and Midtown Madness, but NFS wasnt meant to be like them, that's what i dislike of the latest NFS's. I remember there was a cool map in Porsche 2000 valled aurvegne or something like that, it was a "crossed ways" track, there were ways, shorter but more difficult ways, plazas, shortcuts and very small ways, like a very small middle age town, but still a track, i'd rather to have tracks like that in the next NFS's than whole cities, i DO like whole cities, but when i want to race there i play other games, not NFS.

...but maybe it's just me

Everyone has their own opionions, everyone is different so everyone has their different thoughts. Now I thought Most Wanted was the best out of all the games mainly because their is a lot to do and it's not just about the races it give you more to do their are cops that you have to dodge, at the start it's really hard but the more you get into the story the cops get way stronger, currently i'm on 5th on the Blacklist and I haven't been busted yet, but I've had very many close calls, I once spiked 1 of my tires but I still slowly got away, since I have lots of tips and secrets i've found.

The thing I don't like about the other ones as much as they don't really have the excitement just racing around gets quite boring after a while the storyline has something fun about it but not all that much, in Most Wanted you have everything you really want in the game, it's like the open endness in Driver Games you get that little bit more to do, Explorer, Driver, Getaway. And many other fun minigames which are in the latest driver games.

Yeh, just racing on a non-free roam track gets me boared.
But when you got free roam and racing t gets one more step exciting, although that's not exciting enough like U1 and 2 and I guess Carbon is the same. but there is one I really liked, as I said before Need For Speed: Most Wanted with a small complication "The Cops".

Now this makes the free roam get really exciting :D

Gee, I haven't been busted yet. Although ive had so many close calls. Amd currently I have like 20,000,000+ bounty and i'm third on the blacklist. I know the heat is hard to get over on level 5, but at least there are many pursuit breakers and there are many places to hide threw out the city.

Yeh, I'd like cross's car, it looks fast enough, once he was on me and I smached him out and yay, his car died and I scored 100,000 bounty in one shot. Cross wished he had never meet me, maybe I'll also give you some videos showing you some of my tips and secrets, getting away from the cops.

You get bored with the new NFS Carbon too. You can drive only at night not like NFS MW. If you finish the game It's getting boooooring.
Have you heard of Just Cause It's a gta style game?

I've herd of Just Cause but it's not all that appealing to me, I played the demo and it's just like another game, If I got it, I'd wait for the price to drop first, it not worth purchasing a game a full price unless you a fan of the game in anyway. So really the oly games I've bought at full price are DRIVER games.

When I played the demo I though it was pretty good but too much on foot, and the driving wasn't bad but i'd just wait until the price drops until I decided to purchase the full game.

Basicly, GTA had mostly all the original ideas, which makes it hard for any other producer to make an "original" game

Dam! GTA creators pissing us all off :S

Someone please piss them off by creating a way better game than them, it's possible just make the graphics as good as DRIV3R or possibly better.

Well driver has its original "+es" like car damage Driver car damage is great. GTA car damage sucks, its like, ill hit a pole with the front of my car and my trunk will dent...WTF?! My trunk?! someone has to explain to rockstar:

Front: Bumper, hood, engine

Back:Trunk, bumber, spare tire...

Front: Hitting poles, cars, buidings and even people, (itd be cool to hit a person and have a scrape in paint)

Back: Rear ended, reversing hitting things, meelee weapon beat against car [of course that could be anywhere] stuff like that

i like glow :D : D
