If you've been following news about the new Call of Duty, you may have heard that there's a mission in the game where you have to go to a airport and kill civilians. If you haven't seen it yet, see it now, and tell what you think.

Vids already been copyright claimed by Activision but yea I've seen it and to be honest it doesn't bother me. It simply shows the atrocities of terrorism, it’s not glorifying it.
The only reason this is in the game to begin with is to draw controversy which will lead to sales, it worked for GTA, Resistance, and L4D2 among others and it'll work for Modern Warfare 2 as well. Great game btw and I can't wait to pick it up Nov.10

True, but killing civilians like that in the video isn't just my style. But after watching this video, after this video, I'm just counting the days left until they ban the game here in Brazil (Mostly due to the Rio de Janeiro level, as it happened to Counter-Strike last year).

There’s already talk that Australia may try to ban the game as well.
I agree that it won’t be a very enjoyable scene to play through but it takes place in the first act so it’ll probably have important connections to the latter part of the story.
I don’t know if you played Cod4 but there’s a scene where a nuclear explosion goes off and everything is incinerated and you get to watch your character try to survive but ultimately die a slow death so the magnitude of the airport scene is nothing new for developer Infinity Ward.
Movies have been doing scenes like this too yet no controversy…here’s a simple example, same idea different context

True. And it seems that they're trying to block the game in Australia due to this airport scene. BTW, shame I would play it though.

Wow, damn Activision and their copyright claiming asses. I didn't see the video, but by the way you two describe the vid, (welcome back Moonchild) well, lets just say I'm not to keen on the idea of killing civillians in a game like CoD. And, I sure do remember that Nuke explosion in CoD4, I remember thinking that I had to crawl somewhere to be saved, then the character rolled over and died and it went to the map and said that that my characters name then that I was K.I.A. A weird custscene/mission, but interesting, none-the-less.
Here's a working link that shows the original video. The scenes in question start at the 1:56 mark.
Activision recently responed to the leak claiming it "was taken from a copy of game that was obtained illegally and is not representative of the overall gameplay experience in Modern Warfare 2"
"At the beginning of the game, players encounter a mandatory "checkpoint" in which they are warned that an upcoming segment may contain disturbing elements and they can choose not to engage in the gameplay that involves this scene,"
