Half-Life 2. First of because you don't need a "nerdish" comp to run it. I always got impressed with the lighting effects, shading, the models. It was the game wich impressed me most.

Not trying to start a flamewar here,but I personally think graphics do not matter in games,it is the gameplay that matters.

Same here. I think about the gameplay most. I play lots of abandonware, and abandonware does not have good graphics usually.

It depends on the generation.
I have the Atari 2600. It's fun.
But in today's consoles, you need graphics.

Graphics are important. Of course that the fun factor and gameplay are more important, but graphics help in giving an extra touch. Unfortunately nowadays these "PlayStation kids" thinks that graphics are the most important thing in a game.
