Yeah, I entered a tournament of about 20 to 25 people.
At that stage I hadn't played the game for years.

I come first in the test run, tournaments
and come second in the official run.

Each run had about 8 different tracks.
Unfortunately the the official run was more about luck and skill and I come second. I was so annoyed that we played those other dodgy tracks.

When it's a track your not trying to jump somewhere really high and your just racing doing some smaller jumps I beat others by at least three seconds almost all the time.

I was so annoyed when those tracks about luck come along in the official round :o .

Later on I choose 5 tracks, tracks I hadn't played in ages *like years" but I knew they weren't about luck. I won everytime, by a fair bit of time too.

Damn! Wish the tournament didn't have those dodgy tracks.

and this was TrackMania Nations.
The free one you can download over the internet.

I think I'm going to split this topic up since track mania has nothing to do with the F1 your talking about.

That what I was thinking about this when I was sleeping 10 min ago. I don't know what make me say that, probably because Track Mania Natios' cars looks like F1 ones.

Anyways, I have Track Mania Nations either, however it runs like sh*t on my computer, and if I put everything in low quality, I have the impression that even GTA: Vice City has better graphics...

I have it on the highest quality possible on my 1680x1050 screen and it works perfectly and looks better in some aspects like reflections, texture resolution. But remember there isn't much variety in the graphics like Vice City because you don't have to pay for the game.

I also have the first Track Mania.
But lost the serial number, so I cannot play it anymore.
But who cars, I don't play anything more than Driver anymore, if that.
But once school is over I'm getting into games in general just for a small period of time and then back to Driver.

I'll probably never play Track Mania again, unless another competition comes up. If I get a little practice before hand and the right tracks come up I'm sure to win.

I remember playing that game a lot. However I'm not gonaa play that game again (or any other DirectX 9 game) until I get a new comp. And as it'll take a long time, I'll try to play old games like Driver or Midtown Madness.

what are your system specifications again.
If you lived in Australia I could get you a nice looking Desktop HP computer for really cheap. It's got a 40gig HDD and 3Ghz CPU and 512MB ram which I can easily upgrade to 1gig all for $120, perhaps it'll need a video card upgrade too if you want to use it to play games. That'll be another $40.

It's just those dam PCs' can only fit small expansion PCI/AGP cards.

I haven't seen any around, but with the lower end video cards you can make them smaller by breaking the metal piece (funny thing is the card itself is small) but with higher end cards there really big :(.

Video card: VIA/S3Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP (f***ing onboard video cards)
Motherboard: Something from PC Chips
Sound card: Something from Realtek
RAM: 192MB (goddamn onboard stuff)
Processor: Intel Celeron 2.13GHz
HDD: Samsung 80GB

I'm planning to buy a new comp, but with the hardware that I want. I almost have a list with everything. I just need the money :(
