Driver Madness

Some of you may have once in their lifetime heard of, even played a top down strategy game called Emergency 4 (or 911: First Responders for those who live in the US). To those who haven't, let me explain: as I mentioned, the game is played from a top down perspective. You're put in control of four different departments. Police, EMS, Fire and City Engineers. With these departments in hand, you have to dispatch corresponding units to a multitude of different callouts. All from taking down criminals, helping people whom are injured or putting out fires. Even fixing traffic lights!

Where do I step in? Well, I just wanted to share something me and my friend Yard1 have been working on lately. We found this mod called Harbor City, and went on to pretty much re-do it with the exception of the actual city it gives you to play in. Our rehaul mainly consits of units like cars, the peds and sounds.

Here's some of our work below. My focus has been on the peds and Yard1's been on the cars.

Looks pretty cool! I would certainly download it if I hadn't sold my copy because my laptop was so slow. Now that I own a proper Computer I might buy this on ebay again.

If you can't find a copy, there's always unofficial ways, especially considering how rare the game is to find. Not a big game neither. I can PM you if you need a good link.

Yeah, we're thinking of releasing this to public, though, we've borrowed a lot of the base stuff. And it's a mod to a mod itself so, problems arise. Maybe an unofficial version could be released through 'hidden' channels. #h e h

Unless they got a legit actual copyright on it with lawyers backing them willing to sue, and not the kind of copyright you find on some Sonic/anime/MLP/furry autist's "original character" on deviantart.......no.

Gee, I'd hate for someone to improve on an already good mod. Better stop everybody from touching something that's already 50% from other mod than ours.
