Website Progress

Well I've been working on the website. I'm f***ing around with Bootstrap on my own for the first time since my Web Design and Development class has been experimenting with it a little bit this year, and I got the home page done. It came out kinda nice. The image is just a place holder for now, I plan on having a collage later on. Note that only the home screen will look like this.
What do you folks think?

No of course not. Only news will go through it. I'm also including Driver Madness as social media so you'll still get news through here

I think that is a good idea to keep it like DM, a background in the nav bar, also you could make some stuff on the sides.

Thanks for the advice WhiteSnoop, but I changed how I'm gonna go about the site:
Just need to make a good image for the header. The navbar has a leather background (don't know if you guys can tell in the images since they are small).

Alright I'm really hating bootstrap, I'm looking at other responsive templates I can use. I'm looking at these right now. Which do you guys think I should use?

I would say Verti, but i like Zerofour, Arcana and Halcyonic too.

Verti is pretty sharp. Simple and smooth. Very traditional too. What does everyone else think? Anyone else got any opinions?

These are just templates. You can change every aspect of them.
