Driver Madness

Well I've been listening to this one band lately and I've been considering using them in D4. The band is "Comes With The Fall". I will use the music from their demo album which they released on their website for free. I'm gonna post the links to the songs so you guys can listen to their album. Not all their songs will be used in the game. This will only be in-game music, cutscene music will be mainstream.

The band has been on hiatus since '06. Their lead singer and guitarist is now the new lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Alice in Chains.

Just heard this one but it probably won't be in the game until later chapters: I love this one.

Doesnt it gett you into trouble if you actually use there songs without permission?

It's being used non-commercially. They shouldn't care.

as long as it isnt songs that are sold on itunes they shouldnt care. im using songs that are free cause these songs will be in mp3 format in the final game and they can be copied easily. record companies would be pissed about that. however those songs will be used in cutscenes since they cannot be copied from cutscenes.

You folks are lucky, too! Originally, Chris was planning to make the game use OGG files for music in the final version, so this'll make it easier for us!

Yea there are 2 reasons why OGG files are not being used:
1. I discovered that they could be converted to MP3 anyways so it is not a good way to prevent piracy of the music. It would be a waste of time converting the MP3 files to OGG files.
2. Modding is much easier since you just have to rename the song file.
