Driv3r no shadows bug

Hello!
I'm new in this website. I have just registered because I need some help with Driv3r.
I installed the game for the first time in my new computer (not that new though) and when I play it the game doesn't renderize any shadow at all. I have tried with all the patches I have found and with the "Definitive Edition Mod" (wich improves a lot of stuff but not shadows) and no luck.
I know my graphic card is AMD but I played without that graphic bug in my older (and deceased) PC with AMD graphic card too.
So I would like to know if anybody has any solution for this bug.
My specs:
- Ryzen 7 2700
- 16Gb RAM
- AMD Radeon RX 5700.

Thank you very much in advance, and sorry for my bad English.

Can you send screenshots on how the game looks?

Yes, here you can see, no fixed shadows and no shadows projections from Tanner or the car.

By the way, I installed your Definitive Edition mod which is amazing and I have to thank you for, but I continue with the same problem.

Hmm are you using the Driv3r Definitive Edition.exe the comes with the mod?

I see this problem for the first time, but I realized on both images, shadows exist but do not render properly. If you look on the wood planks you can see shadows from Tanner's house. Here is an image how it is meant to look.

This image was taken before I made the definitive edition so ignore the low-quality vehicle textures.

Did you try applying Anisotropic filtering in AMD Radeon Software?

Those pictures were taken before aplying any mod or Anisotropic filtering in AMD Radeon Software.

After aplying the mod and the Anisotropic filtering in AMD I can see some fixed shadows like the trees and Tanner shadow projection over the car but not the floor, and if I do alt-tab the shadows disappear. And I have noticed that the fixed shadows are like levitating over the floor, I don't remember if this happened in my older computer.

I have tried changing all the graphic configurations from the game options, including the resolutions and nothing work.

I have seen projected shadows in some areas, I don't know why.

And I tried re-installing the game 3 times.

That really is a weird bug. I think that it is a hardware issue and that there may be no fix for it sadly.
The fixed shadows do levitate by usual.

Did you try renaming Driv3r Definitive Edition.exe to Driv3r.exe? Also one suggestion, disable Anti-Alias from the game settings and then try. If it still doesn't work try disabling Advanced Shaders in the settings and then test.

I tried renaming the .exe, and changing all the graphic settings and no result. I even downloaded de official Demo from 2005 and it has the same bug. I think you are right, it seems to be a hardware issue (AMD problems I guess). Anyway I'm lucky I still can play this master piece.
Thank you very much for all your advice and tips!

I found a fix for your issue. It is listed on this website:

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Driv3r

You need to get DXVK in order to fix the no shadows bug,
