Portal not working!

The portal isn't working at the moment. But please note that we are working on this issue and are trying to resolve it as quick as possible.
It may take a couple of days though.
For now please feel free to use the forums are they are 100% working!
If there are any changes I'll keep you updated here!

It's something with the database, I've seen one of those typical MySQL messages which appear when there's a problem with the DB.

I'm pretty sure it's not the database.
It looks like the my host has upgraded their software (apache, php and mysql) and these upgrades don't like the code used in portal.php so I have to work out how to fix it!

Yeah, everything back up and almost normal with the portal.
Unfortunately it looks like there is another problem with posting
If it keeps up I'm sure to change everything soon.
Right now I'm focusing on the Wiki and the Driver Madness 2nd year anniversary chat in ONLY four days.

This seems to be pretty random, I'm trying to fix this up as quick as I can!
This page has worked for me and it hasn't been working the past couple of days lets hope it fixed itself.

Well after lots of thinking the portal will probably be replaced with the DriverWiki this includes the downloads, chats as well as the unreleased mirrors site and much more.
The wiki will give me a lot more control and time for the content!
I have some big plans for this Wiki and I have found a way to spend more time on it and soon I will be releasing a time frame I have to stick to. One that everyone can trust!

For the forum, I will be updating and converting it.
We will have to remove many features except the points system, attachments and a few other great little features that we cannot seem to live without.
But many features I was planning to build on will end being removed and could possibly re-coded if it becomes so popular many people still want to it.
The forum will most likely turn into a simple forum.
But will ensure reliability and I'll try to incorporate all the old features into a static html page and achieve it in a particular spot on this site.
Since we are converting to PHP5 based coded site we will long live the future.

I'm thinking that there is a small possibility that I may start of fresh but I will leave this forum archieved for as long as Driver Madness exists which I hope will be forever
and start off with everything new and different.
Something, exciting.
Something, that looks everything like driver!
Something, totally amazing!
But, time is not on my side at the moment.
I have a lot of school work to handle at the moment.
So I'm not sure when I'm going to get enough time.
This is always the problem, cannot wait to school finishes and I'll have a little more time!
BTW: I'll show you all some of my 3d animating, each day that progress' by I become a better 3d max modeler + animator.

This isn't exactly about the portal not working, but is something that isn't working right none the less.
I used to get emails that told me of responses to topics i have posted in, but these have stopped coming.
Despite me being selected to automatically log in everytime i visit, this doesn't happen, and when it does it will tell me how many posts there have been since my last visit. The only problem is, when i click the new posts button, it tells me there are no longer any nw posts, so i don't know what to answer to.
Is anyone else having these problems, and is there anyway i can fix this, it is quite annoying really.
