Thank you! Like I said in my last post, I'm an experienced designer, but very inexperienced with game engines. I intend on making this project a reality, and I do have time to allocate to it, I just need to find some people on here who can lend a hand in the project. So if you or anyone you know wants to be a part of it please let me know.
Things I have planned and need:
- Unique map, not constantly repetitive. Since original Driver games were just textures making buildings, I think it would be perfect fill the map with buildings made for google maps. They are textured alike a Driver game. I could always use help expanding on the small strip I built for this concept. That would entail just making streets and filling in buildings.
- More cars. What I have already is 20 cars, all from the driver series. If we could get the rest of the cars from the first two games that would be awesome. I had initially planned for the game to feature used car lots, in which you could purchase a personal vehicle. Perhaps you would start off with the Ford Elite and you could go to a lot and buy the Skylark or the Chevelle.
- Houses. Maybe it would be going to far, but I think the purpose of this whole game is to give this universe an enhanced game-play and keep the nostalgic graphics. There could be suburban areas on the map, just like there is in Driver, but you could start off with a home or apartment, I don't think it would have to have interior or anything, but just a place to perhaps store one or two vehicles.
- What I really need is for the word to get out on this forum so people with experience in game engines can see it. I can learn just about any software there is but I really don't want to do this alone!
