Hey all,

Well, I was looking on Amazon UK and looked at the Wii version of Driver: Parallel Lines, and they now have this cover up for it...

Image

Then, I went onto Amazon US and they had the original cover (the same as the PS2/XBOX version)

Discuss...

Well, I like it, looks nice, but the logo looks a bit different, doesn't it?

This cover does look better than the normal one, it has a more edgier/anglier and more colorful look.

As for why the UK Amazon has this artwork and not Amazon US... it's probally because some games have a different cover in different regions(like Japan/NA/EU) or Amazon.com is simply behind.

This is the cover art for both the pc and wii versions of the game.
and this is new coverart proably designed because there is a new company behind it and they need to give it a better look.

and I think the look in fact looks better, with a nice glossy finish.
It's also got a better feel of realism, but there are no parallel lines drawn on the product anywhere. {but when I open my eyes the cars driving over them}.

I agree that it has a more realistic feel(and the newspaper is a nice touch) but what's with the pink police lights?

You'll notice that it's pink and blue yes but when you lighten pink it turns a kind of pink color.

But you'll notice the blue lights are pretty lightened to this is probably an illusion of speed with a bit of blur to give it more a speedy feel.

Now you are just over-anylysing it.

However, seeing as you mention parallel line etc, i really like the way the background has been tilted to line up perfectly with the back ground. If you look, the heading is exactly perpindicular to the skyscrapers, and parallel to the road and car roof. I also like the newspaper, and think the background has just the right amount of motion blur.

 And I was the one accusing people of over-anylysing.

Anyway great cover :). Still dont like the game that much though :(.

I really preferred DRIV3R it had everything except a few little problems which killed game play a little with the glitchs.

I've haven't played my xbox Driver: Parallel Lines for just over 5 months now, but I do have a reason... ever since I noticed the PC release I thought why not leave my driver: parallel lines game alone and get hyped up like I did when I was waiting for the xbox release and now I've forgotten bits of the story I should be able to play it and feel the story as it were new.

I'm also excited about the possibility of modding the game and many other things.

and on the topic of the cover again
Image here is the pc release cover art.

It's a little more cleaner too since there is only the ubi logo and there isn't nintendo logos as well as the region code. Sadly the pc version still contains that bulky 18+ rating which is covering up a place which should be kept tidy and clean away from logos such as it's self.

I also think that the US will get the same cover, it's just that the amazon site can be so out of date and surly they won't use the old cover.
