Ladies and gentlemen, I have some excellent news to share with everyone! DTE 2.0 is coming very soon! Here's what you can expect with DTE 2.0 -

* NEW VIEWING MODE
- Individual textures w/ names
- Select textures by name
- Customizable GUI (To a certain extent)
- Search for textures by name

* INTEGRATED MODEL VIEWER
- See all models using a texture
- Model names

* NEW UPDATE CHECKER

* NEW INTERFACE

* BETTER SUPPORT FOR PALETTE IMPORTING

* NOW DRAWING MAINLY WITH OPENGL
- If you can run Driver, you can run this (It doesn't eat the CPU =P)

More to come, STAY TUNED! However, I can't say much about PROJECT CHALLENGER, thing's are going quite slowly...

Yeah, it really does suck. We're hoping for a Mid-May to Late-May release. If not, then look forward to June...

PS: Are developers have the "Driver Level Editor" or "Driver 2 Level Editor" ???

There's a Driver level editor for the PC game. Pretty neat little tool.

I wonder if the devs still have the tools they've used to work on Driver 1 & 2. Maybe we should ask them to give the tools for us? :p

I tried asking Andreas Tawn that sort of question, and he said to go through Ubisoft's support, because he wasn't allowed to ask and what not.

Huh? Since when Ubisoft supports the PC version of the first Driver? Or is he mistaking it with Parallel Lines? Oh well...

If I get it ready by May 1st there will likely be an unofficial pre-release here. If some people could get it and test it a bit, make sure it runs, etc. it would be great. If there's any issues I'll fix them before the official release to sourceforge and the like.

This is what the readme is going to look like. You think I'd show you the contents of it? HELL NO! Also, the winner of the contest is obviously shown...

PS: I think exporting images in DTE 2 is better than in 0.9 (Windows GUI, etc, instead of "two hands on keyboard writing file name and .bmp =)")

What type of programming tools do you use? Visual Basic, C++, Delphi, etc?

I use c++. It's almost ready, I just need to do 2 more things and some miscellaneous pre-release stuff first.
