Nice, so that's confirmed for one.
PostalDude wrote:Nah, the model is blockier....said model appears in the final as the model for the speedguns in the "Wheelman" mission in '78. If you kill one of Slink's guys, they'll even drop it and it'll glow. Can't pick it up however.
I just had a look at the model and it ain't no Glock, that's for sure. Unless that's some space age stuff of course. It even has some weird red sticker on it's side like it'd be a speed gun.

Whilst it is no pistol it surely behaves like one. He's doing weapon aiming animations and if you hang around for a while, he'll even "reload it". I also did find a texture I cannot ID. It also looks like a glock but doesn't belong to any of the models we see in DPL. That could be your demo weapon on the bottom right corner there. The shape of that weapon would also fit the demo gun even better.

It's definitely a radar gun. The mission is about driving past checkpoints at a certain speed, so that makes sense.

The beta version was so cool! Just can someone answer my question I've had since the game came out... How the hell did they make it so fast and yet so stable and good looking... And only worked on it for about a year and a half after Driver 3

Shiiiiiiit. TBH I do remember the speedgun's model being big and blocky, unlike the demo glock 17, which is small and blocky.

Oh god why? Why wasn't that seen in game! It would've been awesome to have it in game so I can remake Christine.

It really isn't so. I can think of only one aspect being more detailed which is the litter in the alleys. Other than that, the release build is far more superior in details not only visually, (the graphics) but in variety too.

The picture you linked me up with just says IGCD. - nevermind, fixed itself. -- doing it again, lol (linking from IGCD sucks)

Anyway, I'm certain of it. Although it could be a '58 too.

You can see a great difference in the rear side of the vehicle, that is a dead give away.

GIVE THE DOWNLOAD TO THE BETA OR YOU ARE FIRED FROM BREATHING WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE NOSTALGIA CRTIC.

how and why can you think there's such a thing

No, seriously. How can you read through this topic and come to the conclusion "i'm going to bump it and ask for a download link to the beta of the game, yeah, that's smart."
